Each star rating comes from that tool's own review. Here we ranked by one job only, finding and qualifying LinkedIn leads, so equal stars don't mean equal places.
Best for: Sales teams, agencies and founders running LinkedIn outreach
The best lead finder here, because it reaches people who've already raised their hand around a topic, whether by engaging with a post, signing up for an event or joining a group.
Most tools treat a LinkedIn search as the only way to find leads. Aimfox adds three richer sources: people who engaged with a post, people who attended an event, and members of a group. These people have already shown interest in a subject, which makes them easier to qualify and more likely to answer. Lists flow straight into outreach, protected by weekly limits and local IPs, and replies come back to one inbox. A seat runs $49 monthly, after a free two-week trial.
Point Aimfox at a source and it turns the people there into a lead list: everyone who reacted to or commented on a chosen post, the attendees of a LinkedIn event, the members of a group, or the results of a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator search. From there you can filter the list, push it into a campaign, and sync contacts to your CRM.
Teams that want a steady flow of qualified prospects without buying data, by tapping the audiences that already gather around their topic on LinkedIn.
Price from $49/month

Best for: Recruiters and small teams who want visual LinkedIn pipelines
Tidy, affordable lead management with Kanban pipelines, best paired with a stronger outreach tool.
Kanbox is the most visual lead manager on this list and one of the cheapest: the Starter plan costs $20 a month, Essential $45 per LinkedIn account and Pro $80, with a 15-day trial and no card. It's weaker as an outreach engine, with no email steps in sequences and only a few campaigns below Pro.
Kanbox scrapes leads from searches, post engagers and event attendees through its Chrome extension, then shows them on Kanban boards where you drag each prospect from stage to stage. Its smart inbox and outreach campaigns sit alongside the boards, backed by a cloud service.
Recruiters, founders and small teams who want to see every LinkedIn lead on a board and move them through stages, rather than lose them in a spreadsheet.
Price from $20/month

Best for: Sales teams that live in a CRM
The best-connected lead tool for CRM-led teams, with group, event and post-engager targeting.
LinkedFusion's strength is plumbing. It has built-in links to HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, Close and Insightly, along with Zapier and Google Sheets. Plans run from $65.95 to $135.95 a month per user, with daily invite caps that rise from 40 to 100. It works best with a paid LinkedIn account, and no free trial is listed.
LinkedFusion sends invitations, timed follow-ups and messages to group members from the cloud, with many sequences in parallel across time zones. Every lead syncs to your CRM through native integrations, and you can target group members, event attendees and post engagers.
Sales teams with an established CRM who want new LinkedIn leads to land in it automatically, already tagged and ready for follow-up.
Price from $65.95/month

Best for: CRM-driven sales teams wanting a proven tool
A proven, CRM-friendly lead tool. Reliable rather than exciting.
Dux-Soup is one of the original LinkedIn tools and remains well rated, with strong CRM connections that keep lead records tidy. The desktop version costs $55 a month and the cloud version $99. Next to newer rivals it feels dated, and its pricing page doesn't mention a free trial.
Dux-Soup, now sold as STACKED, automates sequences of profile views, connection requests and messages, either from a desktop app on your own computer or from a managed cloud version. Leads and their activity are tracked in one place and pushed into your CRM through its integrations.
Established sales teams whose lead process runs through a CRM and who value a long track record over the newest features.
Price from $55/month

Best for: Agencies and experienced outreach teams
Powerful targeting and branching for agencies, at a premium price and with features that push limits.
Expandi gives agencies a lot of control over who they target and how campaigns branch, plus solid agency workspaces. It costs $99 a month per account with a 7-day trial. Some of its features are built to stretch past LinkedIn's limits, so we'd only recommend it to teams who know exactly how far they can safely go. Everyone else can start with these Expandi alternatives.
Expandi runs campaigns from the cloud on a dedicated IP for your country, with branching steps that react to what each prospect does. Through a newer MCP (Model Context Protocol) connection, assistants like Claude or ChatGPT can assemble lists and prepare campaigns in your account.
Experienced lead generation agencies that want detailed targeting and branching campaigns, and that set their own safe limits.
Price from $99/month
We also looked at these. Here is why they are not on the list.

Octopus CRM is a browser-based LinkedIn tool with lead management and campaign features at a low price.
Why it didn't make the list
Our Octopus CRM review flagged its claim that it can't cause any risk and a feature for sending past LinkedIn's weekly invite limit, which are the opposite of what careful lead generation needs.
Who might still like it: Solo users who want a cheap all-in-one extension and will keep volumes low.
Price from $9.99/month · Tested October 2026
Read our Octopus CRM reviewLead generation on LinkedIn is the work that happens before outreach: deciding who to target, finding them, checking they fit, and organising them so nobody slips through. The tools here help with each of those steps, from building a list to keeping it tidy in a CRM.
A good lead tool saves you from contacting the wrong people. That makes your outreach more effective and your account safer, because fewer messages go to people who'll never answer.
Where a lead comes from tells you a lot about how likely they are to reply. These are the main sources, from coldest to warmest:
| Source | How warm | Supported by |
|---|---|---|
| Keyword search | Cold | All five tools |
| Sales Navigator list | Cold to warm | Aimfox, Expandi and others |
| Group members | Warm | Aimfox, LinkedFusion |
| Event attendees | Warm | Aimfox, Kanbox, LinkedFusion |
| Post engagers | Warmest | Aimfox, Kanbox, LinkedFusion |
Aimfox is the only tool here that covers every warm source and runs safe outreach to it in the same place. You can see how it builds each list in Aimfox in detail.
A long list isn't a good list. Before any lead reaches a campaign, check it against a few simple questions:
If your process depends on email as well, you'll need verified email addresses. Our guide to B2B data providers compares the services that enrich LinkedIn leads with contact details.
Finding leads is only half the job; you also need to keep track of them. Kanbox puts every lead on a visual board, while LinkedFusion and Dux-Soup push them into your CRM. For a dedicated comparison of pipeline tools, see our list of LinkedIn CRM tools.
Decide where your leads will live before you start collecting them. Moving hundreds of contacts between tools later is slow and error-prone.
Searches find anyone; engagement, events and groups surface people who are already interested. Prefer a tool that reaches the warm sources.
Check whether a tool can filter by role, company and activity before a lead enters a campaign. Qualifying early saves messages and protects your account.
If your team works from a CRM, choose a tool with a native integration so new leads arrive with their history. If not, a visual board like Kanbox's may be enough.
Lead generation should feed outreach (see the top LinkedIn automation tools), so check that lists flow straight into campaigns without exporting and re-importing.
Plans differ in lead imports, campaigns and seats. Compare the monthly price for the volume you'll actually use.
Any tool that collects leads or acts on your account is governed by LinkedIn's rules. LinkedIn's automation stance explains that third-party automation isn't permitted, and accounts that use it can be restricted.
Scrapers and browser extensions get particular attention. LinkedIn's page on prohibited third-party software lists the kinds of tools it treats as off limits.
That's why we favour tools that work at a measured pace from your own audiences. Bulk data extraction is a different job with different risks, covered in our review of LinkedIn scraping tools.
We started wide. We listed the tools people use most for this job, then dropped any that have shut down or no longer do what they claim.
We checked each tool's own site. Features, limits and monthly prices come straight from the company, on the date shown at the top.
We read what users say. App store and review-site feedback helped us spot problems the sales pages leave out.
We scored and ranked them. Each score reflects how well the tool does the job, how safe it is for your account, and what it costs.
Aimfox is our top pick. Beyond searches and Sales Navigator lists, it builds lists from post reactions, event sign-ups and group rosters, which gives you warmer prospects, then runs safe outreach to them starting at $49 per seat monthly.
Look for signs of fit and interest. Fit means the right role, company size and industry. Interest means they engaged with a relevant post, joined a related group or attended an event. A lead with both is worth contacting first.
Sales Navigator gives you far better filters, saved searches and lead alerts, and most tools here can import its lists. It isn't strictly required, but serious lead generation is much easier with it.
Scraping data from LinkedIn is restricted by its User Agreement, and some tools are riskier than others. Tools that work from your own searches and audiences at a modest pace carry less risk than bulk scrapers.
Kanbox's Starter plan costs $20 a month and includes 300 lead imports, an email finder and a smart inbox, which makes it the cheapest serious option here.
Yes. LinkedFusion and Dux-Soup have the strongest native CRM integrations, and Aimfox syncs contacts through its integrations too. Sending leads straight to your CRM avoids messy spreadsheets.
