CASE FILE · INSTAGRAM GROWTH
Short version: NinjaGram is Windows software that mass-follows, likes and comments from your account, and the followers it produced behaved like bots: more than 13,000 arrived while engagement sank from 3.9% to 0.8%. There are no refunds. For growth from real people, look at Kicksta's targeted growth instead.
NinjaGram is a desktop Instagram bot sold as a Windows program. It automates following, unfollowing, liking, commenting and story views across one or many accounts, and it's sold alongside a TikTok bot from the same developer.
The software has been around for years, and our earlier review covered the same product. Unlike the managed Instagram automation tools we usually test, you run everything yourself, so the settings you choose decide how aggressive it is.
Unlike a managed service, NinjaGram puts the automation on your own computer. You log your Instagram account into the app, pick targets and let it run actions in bulk, with delays and breaks meant to keep you under Instagram's radar.
Pay for a single-account or unlimited licence. Checkout runs through a third-party store, and the serial key arrives by email.
Download and install the Windows app. NinjaGram's FAQ warns that some antivirus tools flag it, which it calls a false positive.
Sign in with your Instagram account inside the software. You can add several accounts, and proxies if you want to hide your IP.
Choose tags, locations or other users' followers to target, then set filters by follower count, post count or photo age.
The app follows, likes, comments and views stories in bulk. Its FAQ recommends at least a one-minute delay between actions and no more than a few hundred actions a day.
NinjaGram suits people keen to run mass actions themselves from a desktop app. That's exactly the kind of activity Instagram watches for, and the audience it brought our test account behaved like bots rather than people who care about the content.
The appeal is cost and control. For the price of a single month with many services, you get a year of software you can point at any hashtag, location or competitor's audience, with filters to fine-tune who it targets.
The trouble is what that automation produces. Follow-for-follow tactics and bulk likes mostly attract accounts that follow back automatically, and in our test that meant a crowd that never reacted to our posts.
Engagement is what Instagram rewards now, so a count nobody interacts with leaves your posts in front of a shrinking audience. The approach in our growing followers manually guide builds followers who actually respond.
Bulk-action tools and follower shops tend to end up in the same place. Our Boostlikes review found a seller openly admitting its followers are bot-generated, and the result looked much the same.
Cheap one-off packages are no different: Growthoid also left us with thousands of extra followers and an engagement rate that collapsed.
Our NinjaGram trial covered 30 days inside the September to October 2026 testing window. When we installed it, the profile sat at 3,368 followers, and we kept to the usual posting rhythm.
We tracked three numbers from Instagram Insights day by day: followers, engagement and reach. After we closed the app for good, we waited a fortnight and counted the followers who had since disappeared.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 3,368 | 17,343 |
| Engagement rate | 3.9% | 0.8% |
| Accounts reached (30 days) | 12,671 | 12,850 |
| Followers lost after we stopped (14 days) | – | 467 |
A one-year licence costs less than a single month of most managed services, and you're not tied into a subscription.
Targeting filters, whitelists, blacklists and import or export of user lists give experienced users a lot of control.
Our follower count went from 3,368 to 17,343, yet engagement dropped from 3.9% to 0.8% and reach barely changed. Two weeks after we switched it off, 467 of the new followers had gone. That's what an audience of bot accounts looks like: big numbers, no reactions.
NinjaGram mass-follows, unfollows, likes and comments from your own account. Its FAQ warns that thousands of actions a day will get you flagged and possibly suspended, and spends a long section explaining how to recover from blocks.
The FAQ states a zero refund policy. If the software doesn't suit you, or your account gets blocked, you've lost what you paid.
It only runs on Windows. Mac users are told to use Boot Camp, Parallels or a Windows VPS, which adds cost and setup before you even start.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Single Account | $43.99 per year | One Instagram account; one-year licence, Windows only |
| Unlimited Accounts | $179.99 per year | Any number of Instagram accounts; one-year licence, Windows only |
NinjaGram has no monthly plan. Both licences are one-off payments that run for one year, and the prices above are shown as sale prices (the single licence is listed as originally $59.99, the unlimited one as $224.99). Contact the seller for a lifetime licence.
There's no free trial, and the FAQ states a zero refund policy. Payment and delivery of the serial key run through a third-party checkout.

NinjaGram needs your Instagram login inside its app and then performs actions in volume. Its own FAQ admits that heavy use will get an account flagged and possibly suspended, that blocks can last days, and that once Instagram blocks you, it's out of the developer's hands.
Bulk automation like this is exactly what Instagram's platform rules are designed to stop. If you run it anyway, use a separate test account rather than your main profile.
Never install automation software on the account you care about, and turn on Instagram login protection before signing in anywhere new.

NinjaGram is cheap to buy, but you pay in other ways. It automates the kind of bulk activity Instagram flags, its own FAQ is full of advice on surviving blocks, and the followers it brought us behaved like bots: thousands more, almost no extra engagement, and hundreds gone soon after. With no refunds, it's not worth the risk. The safer growth services we recommend work with real people instead.
A mass-action Instagram bot that brought bot-like followers and risks blocks, with zero refunds. Choose Kicksta instead.
1/5NinjaGram is itself a bot: desktop software that follows, unfollows, likes and comments in bulk from your account. The followers it brought us behaved like bots too, with engagement falling from 3.9% to 0.8% and 467 gone within two weeks of stopping.
It's Windows software for automating Instagram actions: mass follow and unfollow, auto-like, auto-comment from a preset list, story views, location targeting and multi-account management. The same seller also offers a TikTok bot called NinjaTOK.
A single-account licence is $43.99 and an unlimited-accounts licence is $179.99, both shown as sale prices. There's no monthly plan: licences run for one year, which works out to about $3.67 a month for one account.
No. Its FAQ states a zero refund policy, so check carefully before you buy.
Not natively. It's Windows-only; the FAQ suggests Boot Camp, Parallels or a Windows VPS for Mac users.
Kicksta. It works at a human pace toward people in your niche, and in our test it lifted engagement to 5.5% instead of dragging it down.
