CASE FILE · INSTAGRAM GROWTH
Short version: Flock Social is a friendly, well-equipped growth service that finds real people in your niche and gets them to notice your profile. Plans start at $39 a month with a 7-day free trial, and the $69 plan unlocks the full targeting toolkit. Skip it if you want an instant follower boost, or compare it with our Kicksta review first.
Think of Flock Social as an Instagram growth service that does your outreach for you, bringing real users to your profile. You describe the audience you want, and its system engages with those people from your account so they discover you.
It doesn't sell followers, likes or views. Its FAQ is clear that each new follower decided to follow you on their own, and that its system steers away from bots and inactive accounts. The service says it has worked with more than 15,000 brands, agencies and creators.
Flock Social doesn't post for you, write your captions or message your followers. Its job is narrower: get your profile in front of people who already like what you post about, then let your content do the convincing.
You create an account and log in to your Instagram profile from the dashboard. The terms explain that this needs your username and password, which Flock Social encrypts.
You add influencers, competitors or similar accounts, plus hashtags and locations your audience interacts with. You can update these any time.
For up to 3 days, Flock Social eases your account into activity before full growth starts. It keeps the first days calm and natural.
It follows people who match your targeting, likes their posts after they follow back, and later unfollows those who don't engage, so your ratio stays healthy.
The insights dashboard shows your progress in real time. Swap out weak targets and keep the ones that bring in followers.
Flock Social suits anyone who wants a steady stream of relevant followers without spending hours on manual engagement. Its three plans add tools as you go up: targeting arrives on the middle plan, and the engagement extras on the top one.
Doing outreach by hand means finding the right accounts, following people one by one, liking posts and unfollowing the ones who never engage. It works, but it eats hours every week. Flock Social takes over that routine and runs it in the background.
Buying followers is the quick alternative, but those accounts rarely engage, and they drag your engagement rate down. With Flock Social, people decide for themselves whether to follow, so the followers you gain are the kind who might comment, share or buy. If you want to grow your following without that risk, it's a practical middle ground.
The pricing helps too. IG Explorer brings follow and unfollow automation, account and hashtag targeting, filters and weekly audits for $69 a month, and IG Adventurer adds the engagement extras.
We ran Flock Social for 30 days, between September and October 2026. The test account started with 2,678 followers. We didn't change how often we posted, so any difference came from Flock Social.
Every day we logged followers, engagement rate and accounts reached from Instagram Insights. Once the 30 days were up, we cancelled and waited two weeks to see how many new followers stayed.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 2,678 | 3,201 |
| Engagement rate | 2.8% | 3.9% |
| Accounts reached (30 days) | 9,427 | 18,200 |
| Followers lost after we stopped (14 days) | – | 6 |
IG Newbie covers the growth pods network, live analytics and 24/7 support. IG Explorer adds follow and unfollow automation, targeting, filters, audits and white and black lists. IG Adventurer adds Welcome DMs, the Close Friends auto-adder, gender filters and auto-likes.
You can target by the profiles people follow, the hashtags they use and the locations they interact with. That makes it a good fit for local businesses as well as creators.
Flock Social says setup takes about three minutes, followed by a short warm-up. After that, it runs on its own, with 24/7 live support if you need help.
You can't cancel from the dashboard. You contact the support team at least 24 hours before your trial ends or your plan renews, and keep their confirmation.
Like most follow-based services, Flock Social needs your Instagram username and password to work. It encrypts them, but it's still worth turning on extra security first.
| Plan | Price | What you get |

Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. There are no contracts or minimum terms, and Flock Social keeps working until the end of the month you've paid for. You can pay by card, PayPal or Apple Pay, and all prices are in US dollars.
Agencies pay $1.80 per account per day, invoiced every 30 days, with a minimum of 10 accounts.

Flock Social logs in to your account and engages for you, using what it describes as AI that mimics human behavior and support for multiple proxies. Its terms note that the login may come from one of its hubs in a different region.
There's one rule worth knowing for any tool like this: Instagram's usage terms don't allow automated access without permission. Flock Social's own terms say the customer is responsible for following Instagram's rules. Its careful pacing and warm-up lower the risk, but no follow-based service can remove it entirely.
Before connecting, set up Meta's two-factor login and check you still have access to the email on your account. Don't run another growth tool alongside Flock Social.
