CASE FILE · INSTAGRAM GROWTH
Short version: Growthoid sells cheap one-off packages of Instagram followers, and in our test they acted like bot accounts: more than 14,000 landed, yet engagement slid to 0.4% and reach stayed put. There are no refunds once an order is sent. For followers who actually engage, see Kicksta's targeted growth instead.
Growthoid is an online store selling social media engagement. Its Instagram range covers followers, likes, views, Reels and IGTV views, and comments, and the same store sells packages for X and Facebook too. Its about page says it has been running since 2017.
The brand used to live at growthoid.com, which now forwards to a different follower marketplace. The store we tested trades at growthoid.co. Unlike the targeted tools on our list of every growth tool we've tested, it doesn't engage with anyone on your behalf: you simply buy a number.
Buying from Growthoid is like buying anything from a small online shop. There's no targeting, no account manager and no strategy, just a package size, a username and a checkout. The followers come from wherever the seller sources them.
Browse the store and choose a follower, like, view or comment package. Sizes run from 100 followers to 65,000.
Type the username or post link. Your account must be public, and the username can't change until the order is finished.
Pay once at checkout. The store advertises a 10% discount code on every page.
Growthoid says orders are sent within 30 minutes to 5 hours, and its FAQ allows 2 to 5 hours for completion.
If follower counts drop within 90 days, the store says it tops them up once every 24 hours.
Growthoid only makes sense if a higher follower count is the whole goal and you're comfortable that the accounts behind it do nothing. For anyone hoping to reach people who care about their content, the cheap price is a false economy.
The pull is price and speed. A hundred followers for under $2, delivered within a few hours, is tempting if you want a profile to look established before a launch or a pitch.
A follower total only helps when it stands for people who might watch, like or buy. When the new accounts never react, Instagram sees a profile whose posts interest a shrinking share of its audience, and that works against you.
Building that audience properly takes longer. The routine in our guide to earning followers organically costs nothing, and a targeted service can speed it up without filling your profile with dead accounts.
Growthoid isn't an outlier among sellers like this. Our Rocketora review logged thousands of extra followers while interaction on our posts fell away.
Cheap one-off packages elsewhere told the same story, including SNS Growth, where the new followers barely touched our posts.
Growthoid's packages went onto one of our test accounts during the September to October 2026 testing window, and we tracked it for 30 days. The profile had 3,056 followers beforehand and kept its usual posting rhythm.
Instagram Insights supplied the numbers: daily follower totals, engagement rate and 30-day reach. Two weeks after the last delivery we checked again to count the bought followers that were no longer there.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 3,056 | 17,551 |
| Engagement rate | 2.7% | 0.4% |
| Accounts reached (30 days) | 11,477 | 11,633 |
| Followers lost after we stopped (14 days) | – | 306 |
Orders are delivered within hours, and the store needs only your username, not your Instagram password.
Packages start at $1.49 for 100 followers, so trying it costs very little, even if what you get isn't worth much either.
Our account went from 3,056 to 17,551 followers, yet engagement sank from 2.7% to 0.4% and reach stayed almost exactly where it started. Within a fortnight of the final delivery, 306 of them had already gone. Thousands of followers who never react is what bot accounts look like.
Its refund policy says no refunds are issued once an order is confirmed and sent. If the followers are useless or drop away, your only option is the refill on follower orders.
Alongside Instagram packages, the store sells Google Maps reviews, for example two for $9.95, plus SEO services. A seller willing to manufacture reviews isn't one we'd trust with the authenticity of followers.
The contact page says its email isn't working and sends you to support@getinstagramfollowers.com, a different domain. The refund policy and FAQ point to the same address.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | From $1.49 one-off | 100 followers; 1,000 for $9.97, 10,000 for $49.97, up to 65,000 for $249.97 |
| Likes | From $1.97 one-off | 1,000 likes; larger packages up to 150,000 |
| Views | From $1.47 one-off | 2,000 video views |
| Comments | From $4.95 one-off | Instagram comments package |
Growthoid has no monthly plans. Everything is a one-off package, shown at a discounted price next to a higher crossed-out price, and a 10% code is promoted across the site.
Refunds aren't available once an order is confirmed and sent. Follower orders come with a free refill for drops within 90 days, and you can't buy more than 100,000 followers in 30 days.
Prices checked October 15, 2026.
Growthoid only asks for your username, so your login stays private. The risk lies elsewhere: a sudden wave of accounts that never engage drags down your engagement rate, and when Instagram clears out inactive or fake accounts, they disappear from your count.
Paying for followers or reactions also cuts against the rules you agree to as an Instagram user. Read Instagram's platform terms before buying from any follower store.
Even when a site doesn't need your password, protect your account with Instagram's login protection and never reuse your password elsewhere.

Growthoid sells what it promises, a bigger number, and nothing else. What arrived looked and acted like bot accounts, engagement collapsed and hundreds were gone within two weeks of stopping. Add a no-refund policy, support routed through another company's email and a side line in Google reviews, and it's easy to rule out. Spend the money on one of the services worth paying for instead.
Cheap follower packages that behaved like bots, with no refunds once delivered. Choose Kicksta instead.
1/5Our results say yes. Its FAQ claims every follower comes from a genuine account, but 14,495 new followers arrived while engagement fell from 2.7% to 0.4% and reach barely moved. Real people interested in your posts don't behave like that.
It's an online store that sells one-time bundles of followers, likes, video views and comments for Instagram, alongside services for X, Facebook and other platforms. It currently runs at growthoid.co.
Packages are one-off purchases. 100 followers cost $1.49, 1,000 cost $9.97 and 10,000 cost $49.97 at current sale prices. There's no monthly plan.
Its refund policy says refunds aren't issued once an order is confirmed and delivered. Follower orders include a free refill if counts drop within 90 days.
The address growthoid.com now redirects to a different follower marketplace. The Growthoid store we reviewed runs at growthoid.co.
If you want followers who actually engage, Kicksta is our top pick. If you only want a little social proof and don't want to pay, SocialFollow is a free option that doesn't need your password.
