CASE FILE · INSTAGRAM GROWTH
Short version: Rocketora delivered bot followers. Our account gained over 9,000 followers in a month, yet engagement collapsed to 0.4%, reach fell and hundreds of followers vanished soon after we stopped. Readers after an audience that genuinely responds should look at our Kicksta review.
Rocketora is an Instagram growth service that operates from your own account. It pairs a social media manager with what it calls AI-assisted software to follow, like and view the stories of a chosen audience in the hope that some follow back.
It prices its plans in euros and runs its site in English and German. Among the Instagram growth tools we've tested, it sits firmly in the follow-and-unfollow camp rather than the organic discovery approach our recommended services use.
Rocketora is a follow-and-like service run from your own account. A social media manager sets it up, and software carries out the follows, likes, story views and, on Pro, comments and direct messages.
Pick Basic or Pro and start the 7-day free trial. You then send Rocketora your Instagram access data.
On Pro you choose competitor profiles, hashtags, language, gender and location. Basic works from the Explore page, suggested profiles and your followers' followers.
Your account follows, likes and views stories of those people, and new follows are muted so they don't flood your feed.
On request, the accounts it followed are unfollowed again after a few days or weeks. A whitelist protects accounts you want to keep.
Pro adds automatic comments on target posts and welcome messages to new followers.
Rocketora is hard to recommend to anyone who wants an audience that responds. Its followers arrived in their thousands and then behaved like bots, so a bigger count came at the cost of the engagement that actually gets your posts seen.
The appeal is a low price and big numbers. At €49 a month it undercuts many managed services, and the promise of a dedicated manager makes it sound more personal than a plain bot.
In our test the numbers did arrive, just not in a useful form. Thousands of followers who never react pull your engagement rate down, and Instagram tends to limit how widely posts travel when fewer of your followers react.
That's why a jump in followers can leave you worse off. Our guide to growing genuine followers explains how to grow in a way that holds up.
Rocketora wasn't alone in this. Other services we tested showed the same pattern, as our Path Social review explains.
The same thing happened with Plixi: a flood of followers, then engagement and reach heading the wrong way.
Our Rocketora trial covered a full month across September and October 2026, on a test profile that began at 2,210 followers and kept its normal posting schedule.
We read Instagram Insights every day for followers, engagement rate and 30-day reach. After the month ended, we switched Rocketora off and checked back 14 days later to see how many new followers were left.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 2,210 | 11,526 |
| Engagement rate | 4.1% | 0.4% |
| Accounts reached (30 days) | 8,466 | 7,956 |
| Followers lost after we stopped (14 days) | – | 371 |
At €49 a month on Basic, it's cheaper to try than most managed services, and there's a 7-day free trial.
Muting new follows keeps your own feed clear while the service runs, and a whitelist protects accounts you care about.
Our follower count jumped from 2,210 to 11,526 in 30 days, but engagement fell from 4.1% to 0.4% and reach went down. Then 371 of the new followers vanished within two weeks of stopping. Thousands of accounts that never like, comment or stay are what bot followers look like.
Rocketora says other services use bots while its own work is done by people. Its homepage also offers AI-powered software that automates follows, likes, story views, comments and DMs. Our results matched the automation, not the human touch.
Subscriptions renew automatically, cancelling means emailing with "Cancellation" in the subject line, and its terms add a €25 processing fee for refund requests it considers unjustified.
Rocketora needs your Instagram login, and its terms say you must change your password once the contract ends.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | €49/month | Software-run following, liking, story viewing and unfollowing, aimed at Explore, suggested and followers-of-followers audiences, plus muting |
| Pro | €79/month | Everything in Basic plus profile, hashtag, language, gender and location targeting, lists, comments and DMs |
Prices are in euros on monthly billing. Paying quarterly brings Basic to €98 and Pro to €158 for three months. Each plan opens with a week-long free trial, then renews automatically.
You cancel by email. Its terms also mention a 14-day right of withdrawal and a €25 processing fee for refund requests it judges unjustified.

Rocketora works from inside your account, so it needs your password and your account carries out every follow, like and comment. Its terms ask you to change your password after you leave, which tells you how much access you've given away.
Mass following, unfollowing and automatic comments are exactly the kind of activity Instagram's platform terms are written to stop. A profile suddenly packed with bot followers also sends a poor signal to Instagram about your content.
If you've already shared your login with a service like this, change your password and switch on two-step login protection straight away.

Rocketora's thousands of new followers behaved like bots: engagement sank from 4.1% to 0.4%, reach slipped and 371 disappeared within two weeks. Add a required password and an email-only cancellation process, and there's little reason to choose it. Kicksta and the other recommended growth services bring in real people who actually engage.
Its new followers acted like bots and never engaged. Kicksta is the safer pick for genuine growth.
1.5/5In our test they behaved exactly like bots. We gained 9,316 followers in a month while engagement fell to 0.4%, reach dropped, and 371 disappeared within 14 days of stopping.
Basic is €49 a month and Pro is €79 a month on monthly billing. Paying quarterly gives you one month free. Both include a 7-day free trial.
Rocketora is a registered business, yet it doesn't get our recommendation. It asks for your password, its followers sat silent on our posts, and quitting means emailing support.
Yes. You hand over your Instagram access data so its team and software can act from your account.
Send an email from the address you signed up with, put "Cancellation" in the subject line and include your Instagram name. The subscription renews automatically until you do.
Kicksta. Its approach puts your profile in front of genuine accounts in your niche, and in our test engagement rose to 5.5% rather than collapsing.
