CASE FILE · INSTAGRAM GROWTH
Short version: Plixi delivered bot followers. Within a month our profile added 6,781 followers, while engagement slid from 3.3% to 0.4% and 502 vanished within two weeks of stopping. Want genuine people instead? Start with our Kicksta review.
Plixi markets itself as an AI-powered Instagram growth platform. It promises real, organic followers, a results guarantee and growth without sharing your password, with an optional team of experts for those who pay more.
It covers TikTok as well as Instagram, but this review focuses on Instagram. Compared with the other growth tools tested, it leans heavily on automated interactions and big monthly follower targets.
Plixi describes an AI growth engine that interacts with your target audience for you: liking posts and comments, viewing stories, reels and videos, and reacting to stories. You choose who it targets; it decides who to engage.
Pick Basic or Pro. The page defaults to yearly billing, so switch to monthly if you don't want to pay for a year upfront.
Connect with your Instagram username. Plixi says no password is required.
Add usernames, hashtags, locations and a gender preference for the audience you want.
Plixi's system carries out likes, story views, reel views and comment likes aimed at that audience.
A dashboard shows likes, follows, unfollows and engagement over time, with PDF exports on Pro.
Plixi promises AI-powered organic growth with no bots and no fake followers. Our test told a different story: thousands of new followers who behaved like bot accounts, and an engagement rate that fell to almost nothing.
Plixi's main draw is control. You can target by usernames, hashtags, locations and gender, and the dashboard shows every interaction, which appeals to people who like to tinker.
Its follower targets are also eye-catching: up to 3,500 or more a month on Pro. In our test it beat those numbers easily, which is part of the problem. Followers who arrive in bulk and never react make your account look less appealing to Instagram's ranking systems.
Real growth looks slower and steadier. Our guide to earning real followers shows what that looks like in practice.
Plixi isn't the only service that worked this way in our tests. Our UpGrow review found the same jump in followers and the same collapse in engagement.
We saw a similar result with Ascend Viral, despite its promise of a personal growth assistant.
Our Plixi test lasted 30 days through September and October 2026. The account had 1,416 followers on day one, and we didn't change how often we posted.
Insights supplied our daily figures for audience size, engagement and reach. Fourteen days after cancelling, we tallied how many had already left.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 1,416 | 8,197 |
| Engagement rate | 3.3% | 0.4% |
| Accounts reached (30 days) | 5,168 | 5,479 |
| Followers lost after we stopped (14 days) | – | 502 |
Username, hashtag, location and gender targeting give you plenty of control over who Plixi aims at.
You can cancel at any time from the billing page, without emailing anyone.
Followers climbed from 1,416 to 8,197 in 30 days, but our engagement rate dropped from 3.3% to 0.4% and reach barely moved. Two weeks after we stopped, 502 had already disappeared. Real fans don't behave like that; bot accounts that never engage do.
Plixi's homepage says "no bots, no fake followers" in the same line that sells "organic AI-growth & automation". Whatever the method, the followers we received didn't act like people.
Trustpilot had withdrawn Plixi's rating when we checked on October 15, 2026, citing a breach of its guidelines. A recent reviewer also described extra charges on top of a yearly plan.
The pricing page opens on annual billing with crossed-out prices that are higher than the real monthly ones, and a countdown timer pushes you to decide quickly.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | $49/month | Aims for 1,000–1,500 new followers each month, with targeting and live analytics |
| Pro | $69/month | Aims for 2,500–3,500+ new followers each month, adding the AI growth engine and a results guarantee |
These are Plixi's monthly prices, shown when you switch the pricing page from Yearly to Monthly. Yearly billing is $29 and $41 a month, paid upfront for the year. The crossed-out $59 and $83 shown next to the yearly prices are higher than the real monthly prices.
Plixi Experts, a managed service with weekly reports and calls, costs $300 a month on top of either plan.
Prices checked October 15, 2026.
Plixi says it doesn't ask for your password, which is a plus. But a sudden wave of followers who never engage is its own risk: it makes your account look less interesting and leaves you exposed when Instagram clears out fake accounts, as the 502 lost followers suggest.
Instagram explains in its recommendation eligibility guidance that it decides what to show people based on how they respond to content, and a crowd of silent followers drags those signals down.
Before trying any growth service, turn on Instagram's two-factor security and keep an eye on your engagement rate, not just your follower count.

Plixi promises organic, bot-free growth, but the thousands of followers it delivered acted like bot accounts: engagement fell to 0.4%, reach stood still and 502 disappeared within two weeks. Add pushy pricing and a withdrawn Trustpilot rating, and it's one to avoid. Our Instagram growth rankings list services that bring real, engaged people instead.
Plixi's new followers acted like bots and erased our engagement. Kicksta is the better choice.
1.5/5We can't see inside Plixi's systems, but the followers it sent behaved like bots: 6,781 arrived in a month, our engagement slid from 3.3% to 0.4%, and 502 were gone within two weeks of stopping.
Basic is $49 a month and Pro is $69 a month on monthly billing. Plixi Experts, a managed add-on, costs $300 a month extra on any plan.
Plixi says it doesn't need your password. You connect with your username and set your targeting in its dashboard.
From the billing page in your Plixi dashboard. Its terms say you'll be charged on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Plixi is a long-running business, but it doesn't earn our recommendation: its followers looked like bots in our test, and Trustpilot has pulled its public score for breaking review rules.
Kicksta, our top pick, lifted engagement to 5.5% in the same test. Nitreo is a strong choice if you want location targeting.
