CASE FILE · INSTAGRAM GROWTH
Short version: Organics Growth promises human-powered growth of a few hundred followers a month, from $59. Instead, our account was flooded with bot followers: over 14,000 arrived, engagement sank to 0.8% and 591 disappeared within two weeks. For local targeting that brings real people, read our Nitreo review.
Organics Growth is a managed Instagram service that has been operating for more than eight years. It describes itself as 100% human-powered and focuses on turning local followers into website clicks, enquiries, bookings and sales.
It's one of several managed growth tools built around a personal manager, which makes it easy to compare against services that deliver real local audiences.
Organics Growth says real people do all the work. Your manager researches users who fit your niche and location, engages with them daily from your account, and counts on a share of them visiting your profile and following.
Fill in the signup form with your Instagram details, niche and location to start the 7-day free trial.
Share your password, ideally through a password manager, so your account manager can log in.
The team builds a list of users who match your niche and location.
Your manager interacts with those users every day from your account. Organics Growth doesn't post, comment or read your DMs.
After the trial, billing rolls monthly on the same date until you cancel by email.
Organics Growth looks the part: a human-powered service, a named manager and growth framed around bookings and sales. Its own estimate is a few hundred followers a month. What we got was many thousands of followers who didn't engage, which is a very different thing.
For a local business, the framing is appealing: growth tied to bookings and sales rather than vanity numbers, handled by someone else while you run the shop.
The 7-day free trial and named manager also lower the barrier to trying it.
But followers only help a business if they notice its posts. A profile that adds 14,000 followers while engagement drops by three-quarters ends up reaching relatively fewer interested people. Our guide to winning genuine followers covers the habits that actually build reach.
Other services in this round promised much the same. Our Social Buddy review recorded another sharp fall in engagement as followers piled on.
And research-focused tools weren't spared: our test of Inflact showed the same disconnect between follower count and attention.
Organics Growth ran on our biggest test profile for a 30-day stretch across September and October 2026, starting at 3,169 followers, and we posted as normal throughout.
Each day we copied the account's follower total, engagement rate and reach out of Insights. When the month ended we cancelled and, 14 days on, measured the drop-off among the new followers.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 3,169 | 17,447 |
| Engagement rate | 3.2% | 0.8% |
| Accounts reached (30 days) | 13,885 | 14,587 |
| Followers lost after we stopped (14 days) | – | 591 |
You get a named account manager to email, and the team doesn't post, comment or open your DMs.
The "Minimum Growth Guarantee" offers a free month if your cost per follower ever goes above $1, which is easy to understand.
Our account jumped from 3,169 to 17,447 followers, more than 14,000 in a month, yet engagement fell from 3.2% to 0.8% and reach rose only slightly. And 591 of them were gone a fortnight after we cancelled, a classic bot-follower pattern rather than local customers.
Organics Growth says its plans bring 100 to 300 or 400 to 800+ followers a month. A gain of over 14,000 in 30 days is wildly outside its own range for any genuine, human-paced outreach.
Once the free trial ends and your membership starts, its terms say no refunds are issued. To avoid the first charge you must email the team at least 24 hours before the trial runs out.
Your account manager logs in with your actual password. Organics Growth suggests sharing it through a password manager, but it still means someone else holds the keys to your account.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $59/month | 100 to 300 targeted followers a month (company estimate), niche and location targeting, growth tracking, personal manager |
| Premium | $99/month | 400 to 800+ followers a month (company estimate), welcome DM on request, personal manager |
The regular monthly prices are shown above. The first month is discounted ($45 on Starter, $55 on Premium), and both plans start with a 7-day free trial that runs at a slower pace than the paid plans.
Billing is monthly and rolling. The terms say no refunds are issued once a membership has started, so email them a day or more before the trial's last day if you don't want to continue.

Organics Growth needs your password and says only your account manager sees it, with all work done in-house. That's reassuring as far as it goes, but you are still letting a third party act on your account every day.
It's your account that faces any consequences, so read Instagram's account terms before handing over access to anyone.
Turn on two-factor sign-in codes and update your password the day you cancel.

Organics Growth talks about real, local followers who turn into customers, but the followers it delivered acted like bots: upwards of 14,000 in 30 days, engagement cut to 0.8% and almost 600 gone two weeks later. With no refunds once billing starts, it's an easy service to regret. Choose from the recommended growth services instead.
It delivered bot followers far beyond its own estimates. Nitreo is the better choice for local growth.
1.5/5Organics Growth says it's 100% human-powered with no fake followers, ever. But in our test 14,278 followers arrived, engagement dropped to 0.8% and 591 disappeared within two weeks of stopping. Those followers behaved like bots.
A managed Instagram growth service. A personal growth manager builds a list of users by niche and location and engages with them daily from your account, hoping they visit and follow.
Starter is $59 a month and Premium $99 a month at the regular price. The first month is discounted, and both start with a 7-day free trial.
It does: the FAQ explains that real people log in and act from your account, so the password is needed.
Not once the trial is over and your membership has started. To avoid the first payment, email a cancellation at least a day before your trial finishes.
Nitreo is the better choice for local targeting. It starts at $39 a month, focuses on audiences in a specific place, and the followers it sent us interacted with our posts.
