CASE FILE · INSTAGRAM GROWTH
Short version: Inflact now sells Instagram research tools, but the followers that arrived during our test behaved like bots: over 4,000 came in while engagement fell from 2.5% to 0.3%, and 585 left within two weeks. Its $3 trial also rolls into monthly billing. For real growth, see our Kicksta review instead.
Inflact, which used to trade as Ingramer, has reshaped itself into an Instagram research platform. Its main pages now sell influencer discovery, profile analytics and an anonymous viewer and downloader.
Our last review covered it as a growth tool, and the billing FAQ still mentions promotion of your account. This rewrite looks at what the site sells today and at what happened when we tested it alongside other Instagram growth services.
Inflact works like a browser-based toolbox. Most tools run without logging in to Instagram at all, and paid plans raise the limits on searches, downloads and tracked profiles.
Create an account and use the free tools, or pay $3 for a seven-day trial of a paid plan.
Look up public profiles, stories and highlights anonymously, or download photos and Reels.
Run the profile analyzer, track accounts and generate hashtags for your next post.
Search the influencer database by niche or performance and save creators to lists.
Unless you cancel, the trial turns into a monthly subscription on the plan you picked.
As a set of research tools, Inflact has some uses. As a way to grow your account, it let us down badly: the followers that arrived during our test behaved like bots, and our engagement sank.
Most people arrive at Inflact for a quick job: viewing a story without being seen, saving a Reel or generating hashtags. For those tasks the free tools work, and its Trustpilot score of 4.0 from 657 reviews mostly reflects them.
Brands planning influencer campaigns get more from the paid plans, which let you search creators by niche and check their audience before reaching out.
Growth is a different story. When your follower count jumps while engagement and reach stall, Instagram sees an audience that doesn't care, and growing audiences organically is the subject of our guide, which spells out why that drags down every later post.
Other services we tested this round showed the same problem. Our Famoid review found an almost identical collapse in engagement.
So did one of the oldest follower shops around: UseViral added nearly 10,000 followers who barely reacted to anything we posted.
Inflact sat in our September and October 2026 test round for a full 30 days. Our test account opened at 948 followers, and its posting schedule never changed.
Every day we logged three numbers from Insights: total followers, engagement and accounts reached. After ending the test, we gave it a fortnight and counted the survivors among the newcomers.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 948 | 5,082 |
| Engagement rate | 2.5% | 0.3% |
| Accounts reached (30 days) | 3,400 | 3,628 |
| Followers lost after we stopped (14 days) | – | 585 |
The viewer, downloader and hashtag tools are easy to use, and many of them are free.
The influencer search and audience analysis are genuinely useful if you're planning a paid collaboration.
Over 30 days our test profile went from 948 to 5,082 followers, while engagement fell from 2.5% to 0.3% and reach hardly changed. Then 585 followers disappeared in the two weeks after we stopped. That's how bot followers behave.
Inflact now sells itself as research and influencer discovery, yet its billing FAQ still talks about account promotion that keeps running for the days you've paid for. It's hard to tell what you're actually buying.
The $3 seven-day trial signs you up for automatic monthly billing. To stop it you must cancel in your profile or email support, and Inflact says it can decline refund requests.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Basic limits on viewer, downloader, analyzer and hashtag tools |
| Research | $34/month | Unlimited influencer search and viewing, 3 tracked profiles, 1GB cloud storage |
| Pro | $59/month | Everything in Research with 10 tracked profiles, 5GB storage and private chat support |
Monthly prices are shown above; yearly billing is about 30% cheaper. A seven-day trial costs $3, and your first payment signs you up for automatic monthly rebilling.
Refunds are requested by email. Inflact may offer extra days or a module switch instead, and says it can decline a request.

Most of Inflact's tools don't need your Instagram login, so your account details never leave your hands. Treat any feature that asks you to connect an account with more care.
The bigger danger in our test was the audience it left behind. Before you pay any service that promises growth, read Instagram's platform terms and remember that thousands of silent followers will hurt your reach.
Set up Instagram's login verification before trying any tool, and cancel trials you don't plan to keep.

Inflact's free tools are handy, and its influencer search has real uses. As a growth option, though, our results were poor: thousands of followers who never engaged, a collapse in engagement and hundreds of followers gone within two weeks. Add a trial that quietly becomes a subscription, and it isn't worth paying for growth here. The highest-ranked growth services bring people who actually engage.
Fine for snooping and downloads, but the followers we got acted like bots. Use Kicksta for real growth.
2/5Today it's mainly a toolkit for Instagram research: an anonymous profile viewer, a downloader, a profile analyzer, a tracker, a hashtag generator and an influencer search database.
The followers we got during our test behaved like bots. Our count rose by 4,134 over the month, yet engagement sank to 0.3%, and 585 of them had vanished a fortnight after the test ended.
Many tools are free. Paid plans are Research at $34 a month and Pro at $59 a month on monthly billing, with cheaper yearly options. A seven-day trial costs $3.
Yes, if you don't cancel. Your first payment signs you up for automatic monthly rebilling, so cancel in your profile or email support before the trial ends.
You can ask support by email. Inflact says it may offer extra days, a switch to another module or a refund, and that it can decline requests.
For growth, Kicksta, which steers people who already like your subject toward your profile; on our test account, engagement rose to 5.5% instead of falling.
