CASE FILE · INSTAGRAM GROWTH
Short version: Grow Your Social says real people on real phones grow your account. In our test it delivered bot followers instead: over 5,000 arrived, engagement fell from 4.2% to 0.5%, and 473 vanished within two weeks. For a real account manager and real followers, see Upleap's managed service.
Grow Your Social is a managed Instagram growth service. It says a team engages with your ideal audience by hand from real smartphones, and claims more than 32,000 creators use it.
It positions itself firmly against bots, telling visitors that a few hundred real followers beat thousands of fake ones. Among the Instagram growth services we've tested, the gap between that message and our results was one of the widest.
Grow Your Social says its team engages with your target audience by hand, using smartphones with real SIM cards, liking posts and watching stories so people discover you. Our results didn't match that description: the audience that arrived didn't act like people who had discovered us.
Start the 10-day trial on Lite or Growth. The card is charged automatically when the trial ends.
You link your Instagram in the dashboard. Its FAQ says that to disconnect, you change your password.
You choose accounts in your niche whose followers you want to reach. Growth adds language and gender targeting.
The team likes posts, views stories and interacts from your account. Growth can also send welcome DMs.
Cancel in the dashboard; the plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for, with no partial refund.
Grow Your Social talks about real people on real phones. In our test the followers it delivered behaved like bots instead, so it's hard to recommend to anyone who cares about engagement, reach or sales.
The sales pitch is strong: a personal account manager, real devices instead of servers, a long free trial and a founder who says he values a few hundred real followers over thousands of fake ones.
Our account got the thousands. Followers rose by more than 5,000, but engagement fell by close to nine tenths and reach didn't move. That isn't what a few hundred real, interested people look like; it's how bot followers show up in Insights.
If you want to understand what real growth looks like, the steps in our guide to organic follower growth are a good benchmark.
We saw a similar story in our Social Sensei review, where a premium price brought the same kind of followers.
TrendGram is another service promising real people whose followers didn't behave like it.
Grow Your Social had a month on our test account, running across September and October 2026, on a profile that started with 1,266 followers. Nothing else about the account changed during the test.
Followers, engagement rate and 30-day reach came from Instagram Insights each day. We cancelled at the end of the month and checked again a fortnight later to see how many of the new followers remained.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 1,266 | 6,534 |
| Engagement rate | 4.2% | 0.5% |
| Accounts reached (30 days) | 5,780 | 5,798 |
| Followers lost after we stopped (14 days) | – | 473 |
A 10-day free trial is longer than most, which gives you time to check the new followers before paying.
Cancelling happens in the dashboard rather than by email, and you keep the service until the paid period ends.
Grow Your Social delivered bot followers. We went from 1,266 to 6,534 followers in a month, but engagement crashed from 4.2% to 0.5% and reach stayed flat. Two weeks after stopping, 473 had already gone, which is what happens when Instagram removes bot accounts.
Its FAQ says you won't lose followers when you cancel. We lost 473 in the 14 days after stopping.
Once a billing cycle is charged it's non-refundable, with no partial refund for unused days and none for periods when Instagram restricts your account.
The current prices are labelled a limited-time offer. Regular prices are $82.99 for Lite and $97.99 for Growth, and the amount you pay depends on your local currency.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Lite | $67.99/month | Engagement on real phones, live dashboard; regular price $82.99 |
| Growth | $79.99/month | Everything in Lite plus faster speed, niche, language and gender targeting, optional welcome DMs; regular price $97.99 |
Both prices are shown as limited-time offers and are charged in your local currency (US dollars shown here). Each plan covers one Instagram account, and a quarterly option is also offered.
The terms say a billed cycle is non-refundable, there's no refund for unused days after cancelling, and there's no refund for time when Instagram restricts your account.
Prices checked October 15, 2026.
Grow Your Social works from inside your account, so you hand over access and accept the consequences. Its terms say you remain solely responsible for the account and that it isn't to blame if Instagram restricts it.
The bigger risk is the audience itself. Bot followers drag down your engagement rate, and Instagram removes fake accounts in waves. Instagram's community terms are worth reading before you let anyone act on your profile.
Turn on Instagram's two-factor login before connecting, and change your password if you stop.

Grow Your Social markets itself as the honest alternative to bot services, but our account told another story. The followers it delivered acted like bot accounts that never engage, engagement dropped to 0.5% and hundreds left within two weeks. With non-refundable billing on top, we can't recommend it. Our own brands bring real people who interact, as Kicksta's test results show.
The followers behaved like bots and soon left. Upleap gives you a real manager and real followers for less.
2/5No, not in our experience. It says a real team works on real phones, yet what showed up acted like bot followers: thousands arrived, engagement fell from 4.2% to 0.5%, and 473 disappeared within two weeks of stopping.
A managed Instagram growth service. It logs in to your account and engages with followers of accounts you pick, then offers optional welcome DMs on its higher plan.
Lite is $67.99 a month and Growth $79.99 a month on monthly billing, both shown as limited-time offers. The regular prices are $82.99 and $97.99.
Yes, 10 days. If you don't cancel before it ends, the plan converts to a paid subscription automatically.
Yes, in effect. It works from your account, and its own FAQ says the way to disconnect it is to change your Instagram password.
Upleap, which pairs you with your own account manager from $39 a month. Its followers stayed and engaged in our test.
