CASE FILE · INSTAGRAM GROWTH
Short version: TrendGram promises real, organic followers, but its own terms allow automated accounts, and in our test it delivered bot followers: 4,041 arrived, engagement fell to 0.8% and 308 dropped off inside a fortnight. If you'd rather grow with genuine accounts, read our Kicksta review.
TrendGram is an Instagram growth service that says it reaches targeted users through a network of influencer shoutouts and an AI targeting system, with an account manager on every plan.
It claims 27,500 clients and up to 5,000 new followers a month on its top plan. Compared with the Instagram growth tools we've covered, its fine print is unusually revealing.
TrendGram describes three steps: you set a target audience, it promotes your profile through influencer shoutouts and AI targeting, and interested people follow you. The fine print adds a fourth possibility: automated accounts when targets aren't met.
Start a 3-day trial on Basic, Pro or Turbo with your username and email.
Choose the age, interests, location and gender of the audience you want.
TrendGram says its network of more than 13,000 influencers posts shoutouts to your content, backed by AI targeting.
If the follower target isn't reached, the terms allow it to use automated accounts that engage with your posts.
You can pause in the dashboard, but pausing doesn't stop billing; you have to cancel.
TrendGram is the clearest case of bot followers in this batch. Its own terms leave room for automated accounts, and our results matched: thousands of followers who never engaged, many gone within two weeks.
The appeal is a low starting price, a free trial and big follower promises with a results guarantee attached.
But follower numbers alone mean little. Our count more than quintupled while engagement fell by over two thirds and reach went backwards. That combination, plus hundreds disappearing after we stopped, is the signature of bot followers.
TrendGram also leans on urgency. A flash-sale countdown sits at the top of every page, prices appear beside crossed-out figures twice as high, and each plan carries a results guarantee that the terms immediately qualify. None of that changes what showed up in our Insights: a crowd of new followers who never reacted to a single post.
Real audiences are built by people choosing to follow you. Our guide to growing engaged audiences explains what actually moves the numbers.
If you're shopping around, our Rocketora review covers another service with big promises.
Path Social also added thousands of followers in our test while engagement collapsed.
TrendGram ran on one of our test accounts for a month, spanning September and October 2026. We started at 966 followers and posted on the same schedule as before.
Instagram Insights gave us a daily reading of follower count, engagement and reach. After switching it off, we waited two weeks and counted how many new followers were left.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 966 | 5,007 |
| Engagement rate | 2.9% | 0.8% |
| Accounts reached (30 days) | 4,366 | 4,164 |
| Followers lost after we stopped (14 days) | – | 308 |
Basic starts at $59 a month with a 3-day free trial, which is cheap to try compared with many managed services.
Its terms are at least explicit about using automated accounts, so a careful reader isn't left guessing.
TrendGram delivered bot followers. Our account jumped from 966 to 5,007 followers, yet engagement fell from 2.9% to 0.8% and reach went down. Two weeks after we stopped, 308 of them had gone, the usual fate of bot accounts once Instagram sweeps them up.
The homepage says "no bots, no fake users". Its terms say that if it falls short of your follower target, it may use "organically simulated automated accounts" to engage with your posts.
Trustpilot shows a warning that TrendGram's rating is unavailable because of a breach of its guidelines. Recent reviewers there describe followers that look like bots.
Prices are shown against crossed-out figures twice as high, yearly plans are non-refundable, and pausing doesn't cancel your subscription.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | $59/month | Targeting, influencer shoutouts, analytics; 800–1,500 followers a month claimed |
| Pro | $79/month | Adds advanced AI targeting and 24/7 support; 2,000–3,500 a month claimed |
| Turbo | $199/month | Adds a senior account manager; 3,500–5,000+ a month claimed |
These are monthly prices; each is shown next to a crossed-out figure about twice as high. Yearly plans are advertised at 40% off and are non-refundable.
All three plans open with a free 3-day trial and promise "guaranteed results or it's free". The terms say results are never guaranteed and that pausing an account doesn't cancel it.

TrendGram's terms say it may use automated accounts to engage with your content and that results are never guaranteed. Bot engagement and bot followers are exactly what Instagram looks for when it clears out fake activity.
Its pages also disagree about passwords: the signup page says none is needed, while the terms make you responsible for keeping TrendGram's copy of your password up to date. Check Instagram's own terms before trusting any service with your account.
If you've used TrendGram, change your password and turn on Instagram's two-factor sign-in.

TrendGram's homepage says no bots and no fake users; its terms and our results say otherwise. What arrived looked and acted like bot followers, silent accounts with no interest in our posts, while reach slipped and hundreds left within two weeks. With a Trustpilot warning and non-refundable yearly plans, we'd avoid it. Real growth comes from real people, and the leading growth services we recommend deliver exactly that.
Bot followers, and terms that allow automated accounts. Kicksta brings real, engaged people instead.
1/5Our results and its own terms both point that way. Its terms allow "organically simulated automated accounts", and in our test 4,041 followers arrived while engagement fell from 2.9% to 0.8% and 308 disappeared within two weeks.
An Instagram growth service. It says it promotes your profile through shoutouts from its network of influencers and AI targeting, and assigns an account manager.
On monthly billing, Basic is $59 a month, Pro $79 and Turbo $199. Each starts with a 3-day free trial.
Its signup page says no password is needed, but its terms say customers must give TrendGram updated passwords. The two pages don't agree.
Yearly plans aren't refundable. Other refunds are at TrendGram's discretion, and pausing your account doesn't cancel the subscription.
Kicksta. It costs a little more than Basic, but in our test its new followers actually reacted to our posts, lifting engagement to 5.5%.
