CASE FILE · INSTAGRAM GROWTH
Short version: Stellation Media sells an automated story-view tool from $97 a month and says it uses no bots. Our test told a different story, with bot followers arriving by the thousand: more than 9,500 accounts in 30 days, while engagement collapsed and hundreds vanished soon after. For growth from real people, see our Kicksta review first.
Stellation Media sells a Growth Tool that engages with other people's Instagram stories from your account. It has been around for several years and now aims most of its marketing at DJs, producers and labels, though it says the tool suits any niche.
Its site promises a real fanbase without ads, Reels or daily posting, backed by claims of more than 5,000 clients. Measured against the other Instagram growth tools we've tested, the big question is whether those promised fans actually show up.
Stellation's Growth Tool is cloud software that logs in to your account and works through the stories of people in your chosen audience. The idea is that a like or view from you nudges them to check out your profile. What we saw instead was a follower count that raced ahead of any real interest in our posts.
Pick Creator, Business or Strategic Suite and start through the signup page. The homepage talks about a free 12-day trial.
You connect your Instagram account with your username and password, which Stellation says it needs for the Instagram API.
Add usernames, hashtags and locations whose audiences you want to reach. Stellation's team sets the tool up from there.
The tool views and likes stories from your account around the clock, running from Stellation's own servers and private proxies.
A dashboard tracks daily story views, likes and the targets that convert best. Business Suite and above can also send welcome DMs to new followers.
Stellation Media pitches itself at DJs, producers and creators who want a bigger audience without filming more Reels. On paper that's a tidy promise. In our test, though, the people who arrived didn't act like fans of anything, and the price makes the gap hard to ignore.
The appeal is obvious for busy creators. Viewing and liking stories by hand takes hours, and a tool that does it all day while you make music or run a business sounds like free time.
Targeting by the fans of similar artists is a smart idea in principle. When it works, people who already like a style of music discover a new account that fits their taste.
The problem is the outcome. A follower count that jumps by thousands while engagement and reach go nowhere tells Instagram your posts aren't interesting, so fewer people see them. Our guide to growing engaged audiences explains why that matters more than the headline number.
Other tools we tested in the same round showed the same warning signs. Our MegaFollow review found an automation engine with a similar pattern of empty followers.
Paying for people instead of software wasn't a fix either: OniGrow promised a human team and still delivered numbers that didn't engage.
We connected Stellation Media to a test profile and left it running through a 30-day stretch of September and October 2026. When it began, the account had 2,091 followers, and we kept posting on the same schedule as before.
Daily, we logged three Insights figures: followers, engagement rate and how many accounts our posts reached. After switching the tool off, we left the account alone for 14 days and then recounted to see what share of the newcomers had stuck around.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 2,091 | 11,599 |
| Engagement rate | 4.1% | 0.4% |
| Accounts reached (30 days) | 9,957 | 10,884 |
| Followers lost after we stopped (14 days) | – | 458 |
Targeting by followers of other accounts, hashtags and locations is flexible, and the dashboard shows which sources bring in the most follows.
Support is available by live chat and WhatsApp, with a help library for setup questions.
Our test account went from 2,091 to 11,599 followers, yet its engagement rate sank from 4.1% to 0.4%. Reach barely moved, and 458 of the newcomers were gone within two weeks of stopping. That pattern is typical of bot accounts, which inflate a profile, never react to its posts and get purged by Instagram.
Stellation's own FAQ says most clients grow by 100 to 500 followers a month. We gained more than 9,500 in 30 days, a jump far beyond anything its own estimate describes and a strong sign the new accounts weren't real fans.
The homepage advertises a 12-day free trial with no card, while the FAQ says there's no trial at all, only a 30-day money-back guarantee. The terms then say refunds are reviewed case by case, are not guaranteed and usually apply only to new customers.
Creator Suite costs $97 a month for one account. Welcome DMs need Business Suite at $147, and a strategist comes only with the $297 Strategic Suite.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Creator Suite | $97/month | 1 Instagram account, full Growth Tool, targeting and analytics, chat and email support |
| Business Suite | $147/month | 2 accounts, welcome DMs, growth and content reports, priority support |
| Strategic Suite | $297/month | 3 accounts, fully managed service, growth strategist, WhatsApp support |
Prices are for monthly billing; quarterly billing is cheaper. The homepage mentions a 12-day free trial, but the FAQ says there is no trial and offers a 30-day money-back guarantee instead.
The terms say refunds are judged case by case, aren't guaranteed and are usually limited to new customers. Give at least a day of notice before renewal when cancelling.
Prices checked October 15, 2026.
Stellation needs your Instagram username and password, runs activity from its own servers through private proxies, and its terms say staff and subcontracted account managers may access your account data. That's a lot of hands on one login.
The same terms state that the quantity, quality and legitimacy of followers are not guaranteed, and that Stellation accepts no responsibility should Instagram ban your account. Read Meta's Instagram terms before letting any tool act on your profile around the clock.
Already handed over your login? Reset the password and use the two-factor login guide to secure the account.

Stellation Media talks about real fans and organic growth, but what arrived looked like a bot audience. Thousands landed in a month, engagement dropped to a tenth of what it had been and hundreds disappeared within two weeks. With prices from $97, contradictory trial and refund promises and a password requirement, there's little reason to pick it over the proven growth services we rank higher.
Its 9,508 new followers looked like bots, not fans, and engagement crashed to 0.4%. Kicksta brings real people.
1.5/5Stellation says every follower is a real person and that it uses no bots. Our results suggest otherwise: followers jumped by 9,508 while engagement collapsed to 0.4%, and 458 vanished within two weeks of stopping. Those are the hallmarks of bot accounts.
It's an Instagram growth tool that runs from your account, viewing and liking the stories of people who follow accounts, hashtags or locations you pick. It now markets itself mainly to DJs, producers and music artists.
Creator Suite is $97 a month, Business Suite $147 and Strategic Suite $297 on monthly billing. Paying quarterly brings the price down.
Yes. Its FAQ and terms both say your Instagram password is required to connect the account, and the terms add that account managers from third-party subcontractors may access your data.
Cancellation has to reach Stellation a full day ahead of your next billing date, otherwise another month is charged. Pausing your account doesn't cancel the subscription.
Kicksta. It finds real people in your niche, and over a matching 30-day trial it pushed our engagement up to 5.5%.
