CASE FILE · INSTAGRAM GROWTH
Short version: Somiibo is desktop bot software that automates follows and likes across 50+ platforms, and the followers it brought us were bots in all but name: almost 16,000 arrived, engagement sank to 0.5% and 470 left within two weeks. For real growth, read our Kicksta review instead.
Somiibo describes itself as free social media automation for more than 50 platforms. It's a desktop app that runs bots on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, SoundCloud, Spotify, YouTube and others, and it has a Node.js API for building your own bots.
That makes it a very different product from the Instagram growth services that help real people find you. Somiibo hands you the bot and leaves the outcome to you.
Somiibo is a general-purpose bot platform. You install the desktop app, sign in to your social accounts inside it and switch on "modules" that perform actions automatically, from following and liking on Instagram to farming points on exchange sites.
Download the Somiibo app and create an account. The free plan needs no card but stops after 30 minutes of runtime.
Log in to Instagram and other networks inside Somiibo's own browser sessions. Paid plans allow 3 to 25 sessions.
Choose modules and target users by hashtags, locations or interests. Proxies can be set per tab.
The bot follows, likes and engages on its own, hoping people follow back.
A dashboard counts followers, likes and views gained across platforms.
Somiibo is built for people who want to run bots, often across many accounts and platforms at once. That makes it a poor fit for creators and businesses who want real people to discover their Instagram, and our results show why.
People choose Somiibo because it's free to start and covers almost every network. If you want one tool that can push numbers up everywhere at once, it delivers that.
What it can't deliver is attention. Accounts that follow back in response to automated activity are rarely interested in your content, so engagement drops as the count climbs. The habits in our guide to earning real followers do the opposite.
Exchange-based services showed the same weakness in our tests. Our Like4Like review looks at a site where members trade likes and follows.
Paid follower sellers didn't do any better: MySocialFollowing also left us with numbers that didn't engage.
Somiibo ran its Instagram automation on a test profile for a 30-day run in September and October 2026. When we started, the account had 3,234 followers, and our posting carried on unchanged.
Insights gave us a daily reading of followers, engagement and reach. When our month ended we closed the app, left it fourteen days, then counted how many of the gained followers were missing.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 3,234 | 19,100 |
| Engagement rate | 2.7% | 0.5% |
| Accounts reached (30 days) | 11,937 | 11,269 |
| Followers lost after we stopped (14 days) | – | 470 |
You can try it on the free plan without a card, and paid plans come with a 7-day money-back guarantee.
It covers more than 50 platforms in one app, which may suit people managing many kinds of accounts.
Somiibo pushed us from 3,234 to 19,100 followers in 30 days, while engagement sank from 2.7% to 0.5% and reach fell. Two weeks after we stopped, 470 of them had already dropped off. A wave of followers who never react and then disappear is what bot accounts look like.
The homepage sells running multiple accounts on one platform "without getting flagged or banned", plus a separate proxy for each browser tab. Those are features for evading Instagram's checks, not for growing a genuine audience.
Its Trustpilot rating sits at 2.5 out of 5 across 32 reviews. One reviewer says all of their Instagram accounts were banned, while a positive one praises it for being "undetected" and recommends its follow-exchange modules.
Somiibo's terms put every risk on you: you use it at your own risk, you're responsible for all activity, and accounts that break the rules can be closed without a refund.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | Free | 2 modules at a time, 30 runtime minutes, 3 accounts |
| Plus | $19/month | 2 modules, unlimited runtime, 3 accounts, no ads |
| Pro | $29/month | 8 modules, unlimited runtime, 5 accounts |
| Max | $49/month | Unlimited modules, 25 accounts, premium proxies |
Prices shown are for monthly billing. Paying annually lowers them (from $190 a year for Plus). Every paid plan has a 7-day money-back guarantee.
The plans differ mainly in how many modules run at once and how many accounts (sessions) you can automate. Premium proxies are only included on Max.

Somiibo signs in as you and acts automatically, and its terms say multiple simultaneous logins can get your Somiibo account suspended. On the Instagram side, Trustpilot reviewers describe bans and "stealth mode" limits after using it.
Before letting any bot act for you, read Instagram's platform terms. Somiibo's own terms make clear the consequences are yours alone.
Protect your account with Instagram's two-factor sign-in and don't run bots on a profile you can't afford to lose.

Somiibo is open about being a bot platform, and our test shows the result: a flood of followers that behaved like bots, a collapse in engagement and a steady drop-off once the software stopped. Features for avoiding flags and running many accounts say a lot about who it's built for. If you want a real audience, start with the leading Instagram services we've tested.

1.5/5Somiibo is a bot, and its followers acted the same way. We gained 15,866 in a month, but engagement fell from 2.7% to 0.5%, reach went down and 470 had left a fortnight after we switched it off.

Yes. Somiibo runs inside its own app where you sign in to the accounts you want to automate, so it acts directly as you.
Its terms say you use the service at your own risk and are responsible for all activity on your accounts. Trustpilot reviewers describe Instagram bans after using it.
Kenji uses AI to target people in your niche without bulk bot activity, and Kicksta lifted our engagement to 5.5% in the same test window.
