Skylead review: features, pricing and verdict

4/5

Our score: 4/5

Recommended

Short version: In this Skylead review we look at one of the most complete LinkedIn and cold email platforms. Smart sequences, unlimited email accounts and free warm-up make it a strong pick for multichannel teams. At $100 a seat it isn't cheap, and if LinkedIn is your main channel, Aimfox's LinkedIn outreach covers that ground for less.

What is Skylead?

Skylead is a cloud-based LinkedIn automation tool and cold email platform. It sends connection requests, LinkedIn messages and InMails, runs email campaigns from as many inboxes as you like, and ties both channels together in branching sequences.

Over the past year it has added account-based prospecting, AI data enrichment and an AI SDR that books meetings. Its 10,000-plus users across 93 countries put it near the top of the LinkedIn outreach tools we review.

How Skylead works

Skylead's core idea is the smart sequence: a campaign that chooses the next step based on what each lead does, using if/else conditions across LinkedIn and email.

Step 1: Pick your accounts

Use account-based prospecting to build company lists, then find the right decision-makers inside each one.

Step 2: Enrich the leads

AI prompts add context about each person and company and draft icebreakers for your first message.

Step 3: Design a smart sequence

Combine invitations, messages, InMails and emails, with branches that switch channel when a lead doesn't respond.

Step 4: Connect email inboxes

Add unlimited email accounts at no extra cost, and warm them up automatically to protect deliverability.

Step 5: Hand off to the AI SDR

Optionally let the AI SDR handle replies and book meetings so your team spends its time on calls.

Who is Skylead best for?

Skylead is best for teams that treat email as seriously as LinkedIn. If you send thousands of cold emails a day and want LinkedIn touches in the same flow, few tools combine the two as neatly.

Solo users can make it work too, but they pay the same $100 per seat as a team member, so the value depends on how much cold email you plan to send each month.

A good fit if you

  • Want LinkedIn and cold email in one flow
  • Send high email volumes from many inboxes
  • Run an agency that needs flat team pricing
  • Like building branching, logic-based campaigns

Skip it if you

  • Only need LinkedIn outreach
  • Need the cheapest possible single seat
  • Prefer a very simple, linear campaign builder
  • Need a long free trial before deciding

Why use Skylead at all?

Email is where Skylead stands apart. Unlimited inboxes and free warm-up remove the per-mailbox fees that many rivals charge, and that adds up quickly for teams sending at volume.

Its sequences are also smarter than a straight list of steps. If someone ignores your invitation, the flow can move to email or an InMail without you building separate campaigns. Compare that with the Octopus CRM review, a browser extension that works one action at a time.

For agencies, flat promotional pricing for 25 seats or unlimited seats makes client work easier to budget. Check what those promotions renew at before you sign.

Skylead also covers lead data. Its email discovery and verification feature looks up business addresses for your leads, so you can reach people who never accept a LinkedIn invitation. Paired with account-based prospecting, a team can approach a target company from several directions at once instead of relying on one invitation getting accepted.

How we reviewed it

Our Skylead review rests on three things: the product and pricing pages as they stood on 16 October 2026, long-form reviews from other outreach writers such as Salesforge's Skylead write-up, and ratings left by paying users. Our editorial guidelines explain how we balance them.

Because we haven't paid for a Skylead seat ourselves, there's no results table on this page. The rating comes from features, safety design, value and user sentiment, judged by our scoring method.

What we liked

Email without per-inbox fees

You can connect as many email accounts as you like and warm them all up for free, which is rare at this price.

Branching smart sequences

If/else logic lets one campaign react to each lead, switching between LinkedIn steps, InMails and emails automatically.

Helpful support

Users often mention a responsive support team that helps them set up their first campaigns.

What we didn't like

One price, and it's high

The all-in-one plan costs $100 per seat a month. There's no cheaper LinkedIn-only option for people who don't need email.

Short trial

The free trial lasts 7 days, which is little time to see results from a multichannel campaign.

What we liked

  • Pro: Unlimited email accounts and warm-up
  • Pro: Branching smart sequences
  • Pro: AI enrichment and AI SDR

What we didn't like

  • Con: $100 per seat, no LinkedIn-only plan
  • Con: Only a 7-day trial

Is Skylead safe?

Skylead runs in the cloud rather than in your browser, and its sequences pace actions over time, which is a sensible approach for LinkedIn. Spreading outreach across email also reduces how much you need to push LinkedIn itself.

Still, any tool that automates LinkedIn breaks the platform's rules. LinkedIn's automation policy says third-party tools that automate activity aren't allowed, so keep invitation volumes moderate and personalise your messages.

Read LinkedIn's banned tools note before you connect any automation, and give a new profile time to warm up.

Skylead review: our verdict

Skylead earns its place as one of the most complete outreach platforms, especially for teams that rely on cold email as much as LinkedIn. The unlimited inboxes and smart sequences are genuinely useful. If LinkedIn is your main channel, though, Aimfox gives you more ways to find leads and stronger built-in safety for less money. For a cheaper cloud option, see We-Connect, which starts at $69 a month.

Does Platypus recommend Skylead?

Recommended

A strong multichannel outreach tool with unlimited email built in, worth it if you need email at scale alongside LinkedIn.

FAQ

What is Skylead?

Skylead is a cloud tool that automates LinkedIn outreach and cold email in the same sequences, with AI enrichment and an AI SDR that can book meetings.

How much does Skylead cost?

The all-in-one plan is $100 per seat a month. Agencies can get a first-year promotion of $999 a month for 25 seats or $1,999 for unlimited seats.

Does Skylead have a free trial?

Yes. You can try Skylead free for 7 days.

Can Skylead send cold emails?

Yes. It connects unlimited email accounts, warms them up for free and sends email steps alongside LinkedIn actions.

Is Skylead safe for LinkedIn?

Pacing and cloud execution lower the odds of trouble. LinkedIn's terms still prohibit automation, though, so a restriction can never be ruled out.

Can Skylead find email addresses?

Yes. Skylead includes email discovery and verification, so it can find business emails for your leads and use them in multichannel sequences.

Who is Skylead best for?

Teams and agencies that run LinkedIn and cold email side by side and want both channels in one branching sequence.

What's a better alternative to Skylead?

If LinkedIn rather than email drives your pipeline, Aimfox. It undercuts Skylead's seat price and goes further on profile safety. It tops our list of Skylead alternatives.

LinkedIn reviews

I review LinkedIn automation and outreach tools. I care about two things: whether a tool actually gets you replies, and whether it keeps your account safe. If a tool pushes LinkedIn's limits, I'll tell you plainly.
