Skylead alternatives: 4 tools we'd try instead

Skylead bundles LinkedIn and cold email into one $100 seat. That's good value if you use both, and expensive if you don't. Aimfox is our first choice for anyone who mostly sells on LinkedIn.

Why people switch from Skylead

  • There's no LinkedIn-only plan

Skylead sells a single all-in-one seat at $100 a month. Aimfox costs $49 and doesn't make you buy email tooling you won't touch.

  • A week is a short trial

Multichannel campaigns take time to show results, and Skylead gives you 7 days. Aimfox gives you twice that, without a card.

  • Agencies pay a lot to start

Skylead's agency plans begin at $999 a month for 25 seats. Aimfox bundles 20 agency seats for $499, then charges $20 for each extra one.

  • Simpler tools exist

Branching sequences are powerful but take planning. Dripify's builder is known for being quick to learn.

1. Aimfox: half the seat price, built purely for LinkedIn

5/5

Why pick it over Skylead?

Skylead's value depends on using its email side. If LinkedIn is where your conversations happen, Aimfox gives you a more protective setup for less than half the money.

Best for: Sales teams, agencies and founders running LinkedIn outreach

How Aimfox compares to Skylead

Pay for one channel. Aimfox's $49 seat covers every campaign type, its shared inbox and integrations. Skylead's $100 seat always includes email features, whether you send email or not.

Protection you don't configure. Skylead paces actions over time. Aimfox goes further, with weekly ceilings on invitations and messages, an automatic warmup and an IP address in your own country.

Scaling for agencies. Aimfox's agency tier includes 20 seats and full white label for $499 a month. Skylead's smallest agency option is a $999 first-year promotion for 25 seats.

Where Skylead wins. If cold email matters, Skylead's unlimited inboxes and free warm-up are a real advantage that Aimfox doesn't try to match; Gmail's bulk sender guidelines ask new senders to raise volume slowly.

Switch to Aimfox if

You rarely use Skylead's email features and want to stop paying for them.

Stay with Skylead if

Your sequences genuinely switch between LinkedIn and email, and the unlimited inboxes save you money elsewhere.

What we liked

  • Pro: Built-in safety: warmup, hard limits, local IPs
  • Pro: Campaigns from events, groups and post engagers
  • Pro: Unified inbox for every connected profile

What we didn't like

  • Con: Rented profiles cost extra
  • Con: Note with invites needs Premium or Sales Navigator

2. Dripify: an easier builder for less

4/5

Why pick it over Skylead?

Dripify's drip campaigns keep LinkedIn and email in one sequence like Skylead, but start $21 cheaper and are consistently described as quick to set up.

Best for: Sellers and small teams who want an easy builder

How Dripify compares to Skylead

Ease of use. Reviewers say the campaign builder is clear and comes with templates, so you don't need to plan branches before launching.

Support. Live help is available around the clock, and customers single out the team as fast.

Volume warning. Every plan allows 75 connection requests daily. Using that in full is risky, so set your own lower pace. Email-finder credits are limited to 100 a month.

Switch to Dripify if

You want LinkedIn and email together without designing if/else logic.

Stay with Skylead if

You run many email inboxes and rely on Skylead's free warm-up for all of them.

What we liked

  • Pro: Easy, polished campaign builder
  • Pro: 24/7 live support
  • Pro: Cloud sending with dedicated IP

What we didn't like

  • Con: High daily quotas invite risk
  • Con: Only 100 email credits a month

3. lemlist: the specialist for email-heavy outreach

3.5/5

Why pick it over Skylead?

lemlist starts cheaper than Skylead on its email plan and adds things Skylead doesn't lead with: a 650 million-contact database and image personalisation.

Best for: Email-led teams adding LinkedIn touches

Built-in prospecting. You can find, enrich and contact leads without leaving lemlist, with email and phone finders included.

Personalisation. Custom images and text are its signature, helping cold messages feel one-to-one.

LinkedIn costs more here. Adding LinkedIn requires Multichannel at $109 per user, which is more than Skylead's seat, and reviewers rate its LinkedIn protections as lighter.

Switch to lemlist if

Email brings in most of your replies and you want a lead database included.

Stay with Skylead if

LinkedIn is at least half of your outreach, since Skylead covers both for less.

What we liked

  • Pro: Excellent cold email and deliverability
  • Pro: 650M+ lead database built in
  • Pro: Deep message personalisation

What we didn't like

  • Con: LinkedIn needs the $109 Multichannel plan
  • Con: Lighter LinkedIn safety controls

4. Dux-Soup: a lower-cost tool for CRM-led teams

3.5/5

Why pick it over Skylead?

Dux-Soup's desktop edition, the Local version, costs $55 a month and connects natively to Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Freshsales and HighLevel, which suits teams that care more about CRM data than email.

Best for: CRM-driven sales teams wanting a proven tool

Sequences. Drip campaigns can mix up to 12 steps, from profile visits and invitations to InMails, endorsements and post likes.

Two setups. Run it on your own Mac or Windows machine for $55, or pay $99 to have it hosted for you.

Limitations. No hard weekly caps, no email channel, and reviewers find it dated. A trial isn't mentioned on its pricing page.

Switch to Dux-Soup if

Your CRM is the centre of your process and you don't need email from your outreach tool.

Stay with Skylead if

You want a modern, cloud-first product with email built in.

What we liked

  • Pro: Long-running and well rated
  • Pro: Strong CRM integrations
  • Pro: Local or cloud setup

What we didn't like

  • Con: Cloud plan costs $99
  • Con: Feels dated next to rivals

Should you switch from Skylead?

It depends on how much email you send. If Skylead's unlimited inboxes are central to your process, it's fair value and you can stay. If you bought it mainly for LinkedIn, you're paying roughly twice what you need to, and Aimfox is the clear move. Our Aimfox review page explains its weekly limits, warmup and Unibox in detail.

Remember that no tool on this page is approved under LinkedIn's member agreement. Its help centre lists LinkedIn's prohibited extensions and other software, so cloud-based tools with sensible limits are the safer route.

Dripify is the easier all-rounder, lemlist the email specialist, and Dux-Soup the budget choice for CRM-led teams. Our Skylead review here covers what it does best if you'd rather stay.

Skylead's seat price against the alternatives

Here's what one seat costs each month, and which channels that price includes. Prices are the monthly rates from each tool's own pricing page.

Monthly seat price and included channels

Dux-Soup$55/monthLinkedInNot stated

For a five-person sales team, Skylead comes to $500 a month and Aimfox to $245. That $255 difference buys a lot of email tooling elsewhere if you need it.

Keep email in the same tool, or split it?

Skylead's case rests on one tool doing both jobs. That's convenient, but it isn't the only sensible setup.

Splitting the channels

Many teams pair a focused LinkedIn tool with one of the dedicated cold email platforms. Each does its job well, and you can change one without rebuilding the other. Our ranking of LinkedIn outreach tools is a good place to compare the LinkedIn half.

Keeping them together

If the same people receive both your LinkedIn messages and your emails, and you want replies on one channel to stop the other, Skylead's branching logic earns its price.

Moving your LinkedIn outreach to Aimfox

  1. Export your Skylead leads and note which ones have already replied.
  2. Decide where email will live, if anywhere, before cancelling.
  3. Connect your LinkedIn profile to Aimfox and let the warmup run for the first stretch.
  4. Rebuild your LinkedIn steps, starting from warmer sources such as group members or event attendees.
  5. Review results at the end of the 14-day trial before committing.

Pause Skylead's LinkedIn steps before turning Aimfox on. Two tools working one profile at once is the quickest way to exceed a safe pace.

A note on account safety

LinkedIn's automation guidance states that third-party software automating activity isn't permitted. Tools differ in how hard they try to keep you under the radar, and Aimfox's fixed weekly limits are among the strictest.

To compare every option on this point, see our list of the safest LinkedIn automation tools.

How we picked these alternatives

  1. We started wide. We listed the tools people use most for this job, then dropped any that have shut down or no longer do what they claim.

  2. We checked each tool's own site. Features, limits and monthly prices come straight from the company, on the date shown at the top.

  3. We read what users say. App store and review-site feedback helped us spot problems the sales pages leave out.

  4. We scored and ranked them. Each score reflects how well the tool does the job, how safe it is for your account, and what it costs.

FAQ

What is the best alternative to Skylead?

Aimfox. A seat is $49 a month, less than half Skylead's $100, and comes with weekly safety limits, a warmup period, local IPs and a shared inbox. You get 14 days to try it, no card needed.

Does Skylead have a LinkedIn-only plan?

No. It sells one all-in-one plan at $100 per seat that includes email. That's why LinkedIn-focused users often look at Aimfox.

Which Skylead alternative is easiest to set up?

Dripify is known for a clear, quick builder with templates. Aimfox is also straightforward and includes safety limits by default.

Is lemlist better than Skylead?

For email, often yes, thanks to its lead database and personalisation. For LinkedIn, no: it needs the $109 Multichannel plan, more than Skylead's seat.

How long are the free trials?

Skylead and Dripify offer 7 days, Aimfox 14 days with no card, and lemlist also has a trial. Dux-Soup's pricing page doesn't mention one.

I review LinkedIn automation and outreach tools. I care about two things: whether a tool actually gets you replies, and whether it keeps your account safe. If a tool pushes LinkedIn's limits, I'll tell you plainly.
