CASE FILE · LINKEDIN AUTOMATION
Our score: 3.5/5
It dependsShort version: lemlist is a leading cold email platform that can add LinkedIn, calls and SMS to a campaign. It's excellent if email drives your outreach, but LinkedIn automation needs the $109 a month Multichannel plan and its LinkedIn safety controls are lighter. For LinkedIn-first prospecting, read our Aimfox review.
lemlist is a sales outreach platform that started as a cold email tool and grew into a multichannel one. It now covers email, LinkedIn, calls, SMS and WhatsApp, plus lead finding and enrichment.
More than 20,000 sales teams use it, according to the company. Its strengths remain personalisation and deliverability, with AI agents, an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server and a command-line tool added for teams that want to automate their outbound further.
lemlist is organised around campaigns, and every campaign pairs a lead list with a sequence of steps across email and, on higher plans, LinkedIn and other channels.
Search the built-in database of more than 650 million leads, or import your own. Email and phone finders fill in missing contact details using credits.
Write a sequence that mixes emails with LinkedIn invitations and messages, calls, SMS or WhatsApp. Personalised text and images can change for every lead.
lemlist warms up your sending mailboxes and monitors inbox placement, so emails are less likely to land in spam.
AI agents can research leads, spot buying signals and draft personalised messages, which you can review before they go out.
Replies from every channel arrive in a unified inbox, and campaigns stop automatically for leads who answer.
lemlist is at its best when email carries your outbound and LinkedIn adds extra touches. Teams that already live in cold email will find its deliverability tools, lead database and personalisation hard to beat.
If cold email outreach is where your pipeline comes from, lemlist gives you nearly everything in one subscription: leads, warm-up, personalised campaigns and a unified inbox.
Adding LinkedIn steps can lift reply rates, because prospects see your name in two places. lemlist makes that easy to set up, as long as you're on the Multichannel plan. How we judge that kind of value is set out in our scoring and methodology.
Its weaknesses show up when LinkedIn becomes the main event. The price per user rises, enrichment credits add up, and the LinkedIn side has fewer protections. Our editorial policy page sets out how we keep comparisons like this fair.
For a different take on all-in-one outreach, our Reply.io review covers a platform with a large contact database and an AI SDR.
Teams that want a lighter, AI-led campaign builder may also consider Overloop.
This lemlist review draws on lemlist's website and its plan table, viewed with monthly billing on October 16, 2026, alongside the LinkedIn-focused tools we've reviewed.
We also went through independent reviews and user feedback on G2, Capterra and other directories to understand how lemlist performs for LinkedIn outreach specifically. Prices and plan contents come only from lemlist's pricing page.
Warm-up, inbox monitoring and support for many senders per user make lemlist one of the safest ways to run cold email at scale.
Finding, enriching and contacting leads all happen in one place, thanks to a database of more than 650 million contacts and built-in email and phone finders.
Personalised images and custom text let each message feel written for one person, which is still lemlist's signature strength.
LinkedIn automation only comes with the Multichannel plan, at $109 a month per user on monthly billing. If LinkedIn is your main channel, you're paying for a lot of email tooling you may not need.
Reviewers point to fewer LinkedIn safety controls than tools built around LinkedIn, and to credit-based enrichment that gets expensive at volume. Reporting for larger teams also draws complaints.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| $69/month | Unlimited users, 50,000 emails a month, lead database, email warm-up, AI agents | |
| Multichannel | $109/month per user | Adds LinkedIn, SMS and calls, 5 senders per user, unlimited emails and messages |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom roles, SSO, dedicated account manager, priority support |
These are monthly-billing prices. Quarterly billing saves 10% and yearly billing saves 20%. The Email plan covers unlimited users and up to 50,000 emails a month; Multichannel is priced per user.
Lead data enrichment (2,000 credits a month from $20) and buying intent signals (100 a month from $29) are optional add-ons on top of any plan.
Prices checked October 16, 2026.
On the email side, lemlist is careful: it warms up mailboxes, spreads sending across several senders and watches inbox placement. Reviewers are less convinced about LinkedIn, where it offers fewer controls than tools designed around LinkedIn accounts.
Keep in mind that LinkedIn's automation policy doesn't allow tools that act on your profile. If LinkedIn is central to your sales, use conservative volumes or one of the LinkedIn automation tools we rate highly.
Read LinkedIn's software restrictions before adding LinkedIn steps, and send fewer invitations per day than the maximum.

lemlist is one of the best tools available for personalised cold email, and its lead database and deliverability features are real strengths. As a LinkedIn tool, though, it's an add-on to an email product: you pay $109 a month per user for access, and safety controls are thinner than in LinkedIn-first tools. Email-led teams should shortlist it; teams that prospect mainly on LinkedIn will get more from Aimfox and the other LinkedIn automation picks we rate highly.
Superb for cold email, merely good for LinkedIn. Choose Aimfox if LinkedIn is your main channel.

Yes, but only on the Multichannel plan and above. It covers LinkedIn steps such as invitations and messages inside a sequence that can also send emails and texts.
Yes. lemlist offers a free trial on its plans, so you can test campaigns before you pay.
For email deliverability it's one of the strongest tools available. On LinkedIn, it offers fewer safety controls than LinkedIn-first tools, so keep volumes modest.
If LinkedIn is where you prospect, Aimfox, which tops our lemlist alternatives. It's built for LinkedIn, costs less per seat and puts much more effort into keeping your account safe.
