CASE FILE · INSTAGRAM GROWTH
Short version: Poprey sells followers and likes by the hundred, and our test got bot followers from it: thousands turned up, engagement crashed from 3.9% to 0.9% and 341 disappeared within two weeks. Its Trustpilot profile has been removed. For genuine followers, our Kicksta review explains a better option.
Poprey is a follower and engagement shop. It sells Instagram likes, followers, views, comments and automatic likes in fixed packages, and it covers TikTok and YouTube too.
It markets itself as an Instagram growth platform with controlled, safe delivery. In practice it works like every other follower seller we've looked at: you buy a number and the number appears. That puts it in a very different category from the Instagram growth tools that help real people discover you.
Poprey is a shop, not a growth service. You choose a quantity of followers, likes, views or comments, pay, and the numbers are pushed onto your profile or post. Nothing about it helps people who care about your content find you.
Pick followers, likes, views, comments or automatic likes, then choose High Quality or Premium and a package size.
Type your username or paste a post link. Your profile has to be public and needs a profile picture.
For followers you can add a refill guarantee of 30, 60, 90 or up to 180 days, which tops up drops after an Instagram update.
Poprey says fulfillment starts right after payment, either all at once or gradually, depending on the option you pick.
Followers arrive quickly. In our case they also left quickly once the test was over.
Poprey suits almost nobody who wants a real audience. It sells numbers by the hundred, and in our test those numbers came from accounts that never looked at our posts. If engagement, reach or customers matter to you, this is the wrong tool.
The appeal is speed and price. For a couple of dollars, a new profile can look busier overnight, and Poprey offers a small free trial to make that first step easy.
The trouble is what comes with the number. When a large share of your followers never react to anything, Instagram reads your posts as uninteresting and shows them to fewer people. Building a real following, as our guide to growing followers organically explains, works the other way round.
We saw the same pattern across other follower sellers in this test. Our Growbot review looks at an automation tool with a similar outcome.
And Somiibo, another bot-driven service, also left us with numbers that didn't translate into engagement.
Poprey was one of the services in our 30-day test round in September and October 2026. Our test account had 718 followers going in, and nothing about its posting changed while the order ran.
We tracked followers, engagement and 30-day reach in Insights every day. Two weeks after the test finished we looked once more and counted who was left.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 718 | 4,246 |
| Engagement rate | 3.9% | 0.9% |
| Accounts reached (30 days) | 3,075 | 3,105 |
| Followers lost after we stopped (14 days) | – | 341 |
Packages are cheap and you can try 10 followers or 25 likes for free, so there's little money at risk if you're curious.
All Poprey asks for is a username or post URL, which keeps your password private.
Our follower count jumped from 718 to 4,246, yet engagement crashed from 3.9% to 0.9% and reach barely moved. Then 341 of the new followers were gone within 14 days of stopping. Those are the marks of bot followers: they inflate numbers, never react and eventually get removed.
Poprey's own product pages say its followers are "looking good" or, on Premium, "looking fully legit". That's language about how accounts appear, not about who is behind them, and our results matched the warning.
Trustpilot has removed Poprey's profile because the business goes against its guidelines, so there are no public reviews there to check.
You can only ask for a refund if an order hasn't started within 48 hours. Delivered orders are non-refundable, and opening a PayPal dispute gets you blacklisted.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Followers (High Quality) | From $2.50 one-off | 100 followers; 10 free as a trial; refill guarantee optional |
| Followers (Premium) | From $4.00 one-off | 100 followers described as "looking fully legit" |
| Likes | From $2.40 one-off | 200 likes; 25 free as a trial |
| Automatic likes | From $9.90 per 30 days | Likes added to new posts for a 30-day period |
Followers, likes, views and comments are one-off purchases, so there's no monthly plan to compare. Automatic likes run as a 30-day subscription that you renew manually.
Refunds are only possible if an order hasn't started within 48 hours. Delivered orders can't be refunded, refunds for some services come as store credit, and processing can take up to 25 business days.

Poprey never asks for your password, which removes one risk. The bigger danger is the followers themselves. Accounts that never engage drag your engagement rate down, and when Instagram clears out fake profiles, your count drops with them.
Poprey's terms say it isn't responsible for any consequences after you receive an order. Read Instagram's own terms before you buy, because the risk to your account stays with you.
Whatever you try, keep Instagram's two-factor setting switched on and never hand your password to a follower seller.

Poprey is cheap and easy, but what it delivered were bot followers: a crowd that inflated the count, ignored every post and started vanishing as soon as we stopped. With no refunds after delivery and no Trustpilot profile left to check, there's little to recommend it. If you want an audience that engages, pick from the top growth services we've tested.
It delivered bot followers that ignored our posts and drifted away. Choose Kicksta instead.
1/5Our results say yes. The account added 3,528 followers within a month while engagement slid from 3.9% to 0.9%, reach stayed flat, and 341 followers vanished within two weeks of stopping. Real people don't behave that way; bot accounts do.
It sells Instagram likes, followers, views, comments and automatic likes, plus TikTok and YouTube packages. You pay once for a set number, and nothing logs in to your account.
High Quality followers start at $2.50 for 100 and Premium at $4.00 for 100, as one-off purchases. Likes start at $2.40 for 200, and 30-day automatic-like plans start at $9.90.
No. You only enter a username or post link. Your profile must be public and have a profile picture for the order to go through.
Only if your order hasn't started within 48 hours of paying. Once followers or likes are delivered, the order is non-refundable, and some refunds are paid as store credit.
Kicksta. It puts your profile in front of genuine people in your niche, and over a comparable month our engagement rose to 5.5% instead of collapsing.
