Robolike review: we used it for 30 days

1.5/5

Our score: 1.5/5

Not recommended

Short version: Robolike is an auto-like bot, and its followers looked automated as well: our count rose more than five-fold while engagement crashed from 3.1% to 0.2%. It costs $19 a month and needs your computer running constantly. For real engagement, read Kicksta's targeted growth instead.

What is Robolike?

Robolike is a desktop Instagram auto-liker. It says it has served more than 100,000 users and delivered over 10 billion likes, and it has been around in some form for years.

Unlike the managed Instagram growth services we recommend, nobody plans your targeting or checks the results. A program simply likes posts under the hashtags you choose.

How Robolike works

Robolike is software that sits on your computer and likes posts for you. You give it hashtags, connect your account and leave it running. Every like comes from your profile, sent by the program rather than by you.

Step 1: Download the app

Install the desktop app from Robolike's site.

Step 2: Pick hashtags

Choose hashtags in your niche; these decide whose posts get liked.

Step 3: Connect your account

Link your Instagram account. Robolike says credentials stay on your computer.

Step 4: It likes posts for you

The bot likes posts under your hashtags, with no daily cap on the Basic plan.

Step 5: Keep the computer running

Activity continues only while your computer is awake, so it needs to stay on.

Who is Robolike best for?

Robolike is for people who want a bot to like posts around the clock and are willing to leave a computer running for it. If you want an engaged audience rather than a bigger number, our test says look elsewhere.

A good fit if you

  • Want a cheap tool that likes posts while you're away
  • Keep a Windows or Mac computer switched on all day
  • Are happy to target by hashtag only
  • Accept the risks of running a bot on your account

Skip it if you

  • Want followers who care about your content
  • Don't want a bot acting from your account
  • Need targeting beyond hashtags
  • Want growth that continues when your computer sleeps

Why use Robolike at all?

The pitch is cheap, hands-off engagement: set your hashtags once and let the software do the liking while you get on with creating.

In practice, likes sent in bulk don't build a following that engages. Our engagement rate fell to almost nothing as followers piled up, which makes every post reach a smaller share of your audience. The steps in our guide to gaining loyal followers work better.

Follower shops produced the same pattern. Our SNS Growth review shows thousands of followers arriving with the same collapse in engagement.

Even bigger promotion outfits weren't different: Jumper Media also failed to deliver engaged followers in our testing.

Robolike's own numbers show how it works: more than 10 billion likes sent by its users. Volume like that is exactly what automated-activity checks are built to catch, and a single account sending unlimited likes stands out. Even if the account avoids trouble, the likes go to strangers who rarely care about your content, so the followers who come back aren't the audience you want. Our results reflected that: plenty of new followers, and almost nobody engaging with what we posted.

How we tested it

Our Robolike test ran for 30 days in the September–October 2026 window, on an account that began with 3,187 followers. Nothing else about that account changed while the bot was running.

Each morning we pulled followers, engagement and monthly reach from Insights. After shutting Robolike down, we left it two weeks and then recorded how many followers had dropped off.

What we didn't like

Bot followers by the thousand

Robolike pushed our account from 3,187 to 18,378 followers, but engagement sank from 3.1% to just 0.2% and reach fell by more than 1,300 accounts. Then 332 followers vanished within two weeks of stopping. A five-fold jump with almost no engagement is what bot followers look like.

A bot that says it's safe

Robolike's own seller description calls it "the RoboLike bot". Its pricing page promises unlimited likes and "no rate limiting", while its FAQ claims it respects Instagram's limits. Both can't be true.

Ties up your computer

It only runs while your computer is on and awake. If the machine sleeps, the activity stops, so getting the most from it means leaving a computer running day and night.

What we didn't like

  • Con: Followers behaved like bots in our test
  • Con: Engagement fell from 3.1% to 0.2%

Is Robolike safe?

Robolike is a bot that acts from your account, and its pricing promises unlimited likes with no rate limiting. That's the kind of repetitive, automated activity Instagram is designed to detect, however the app describes itself.

Instagram's use policies set the rules for automated access. A tool that sends unlimited likes from your profile is a risk to your account, not just a growth tactic.

Before connecting any automation, switch on Instagram's two-step login and keep a backup of your recovery codes.

Robolike review: our verdict

Robolike calls itself a bot, and the audience it pulled in fits that label: more than 15,000 arrived, engagement fell to 0.2%, reach dropped and 332 were gone within two weeks. It's cheap, but it needs a computer running day and night and puts your account at risk. The strongest growth services we tested do far more good for your account.
