CASE FILE · INSTAGRAM GROWTH
Short version: Gainsty says its followers are real and organic. Our test told another story: upwards of 11,000 bot-like followers in a month as engagement sank to 0.5%, and hundreds dropped off once we stopped. It also needs your password. For real growth, see Flock Social's results.
Gainsty sells Instagram growth that it says combines human experts with AI to grow accounts organically. It advertises guaranteed growth, a 7-day free trial and cancellation at any time.
It sits in the same crowded group as many of the growth tool reviews on our site, with plans aimed at creators, brands, influencers and agencies, and a separate set of free tools like a hashtag generator.
Gainsty asks for your login, connects your account and then runs its growth activity in the background while you watch a dashboard. Turbo adds a dedicated account manager, competitor targeting and DM automations.
Pick Upgrade or Turbo and begin the 7-day free trial.
Enter your Instagram username and password so Gainsty can connect to your account.
Choose the accounts, hashtags and, on Turbo, competitors and languages to target.
Gainsty says growth starts within 24 hours on Upgrade and within 2 hours on Turbo.
A live dashboard tracks followers and likes, and Turbo users can speak to an account manager.
Gainsty is easy to start and the 7-day trial lowers the barrier. But the followers it added to our account looked and behaved like bots, so the low entry price buys very little of value.
Gainsty's selling point is speed: it says growth starts within 24 hours, or 2 hours on Turbo, and it shows big example accounts on its homepage. For anyone impatient with organic growth, that's appealing.
Speed means nothing if the followers are fake. Our engagement rate fell by more than four-fifths while the follower count multiplied, which made every post look less popular in relative terms. Our Crowd Ignite review found the same pattern.
Gainsty's homepage cites a 4.9 rating from thousands of reviews. On Trustpilot it scores 3.7 from 87 reviews, and the critical ones mention account access problems and spam. Suparise also produced a large but bot-like follower jump in our tests.
Real growth is slower but it lasts. Growing followers properly comes down to consistent habits, and the services we recommend build on them.
Gainsty ran on one of our test accounts across 30 days in September and October 2026. That account held 2,652 followers on day one, and our posting stayed exactly as it had been.
Follower count, engagement rate and accounts reached came from Instagram Insights, recorded every day. After cancelling we left it two weeks, then checked how many of the gained followers had gone.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 2,652 | 13,948 |
| Engagement rate | 2.8% | 0.5% |
| Accounts reached (30 days) | 11,194 | 10,368 |
| Followers lost after we stopped (14 days) | – | 481 |
A 7-day free trial lets you see the dashboard before paying, as long as you remember to cancel in time.
Free extras like a caption writer and hashtag generator are available on the site without signing up.
Gainsty promises "no bots or fake followers". Our account jumped by 11,296 followers in 30 days, yet engagement sank from 2.8% to 0.5%, reach fell and 481 followers were gone within two weeks. Those numbers describe bot followers, not real people choosing to follow.
Gainsty's own plans advertise 200 to 1,000+ followers a month on Upgrade and 700 to 1,700+ on Turbo. An increase of more than 11,000 is far beyond what real, targeted outreach produces.
Gainsty's terms require your username and password, make keeping that password current your job, and say Gainsty isn't to blame if your account is banned for any reason.
Monthly plans are shown as discounts from higher crossed-out prices, and the headline $49 figure only applies if you pay for a full year.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Upgrade | $59/month | Advertises 200 to 1,000+ followers a month, live dashboard, targeting, premium support |
| Turbo | $79/month | Advertises 700 to 1,700+ followers a month, DM automations, competitor and language targeting, account manager |
Monthly prices are shown against higher crossed-out prices ($79 and $99). Paying yearly lowers them to $49 and $59 a month for the first year.
Each plan opens with a 7-day trial. Gainsty's refund policy mentions a 14-day money-back guarantee, with approved refunds taking 3 to 10 business days.
Prices checked October 15, 2026.
Gainsty works from your username and password, and its terms put all the risk on you: you must comply with Instagram's rules, and Gainsty says it isn't to blame if your account is banned for any reason.
Bot followers add a second risk. Instagram removes fake accounts in waves, which is consistent with the 481 we lost in two weeks. It's worth reading Instagram's legal terms before connecting any service that asks for your password.
If you've already shared your password, change it and turn on two-step verification settings right away.

Gainsty claims there are no bots or fake followers, but our results looked exactly like bot followers: 11,296 new followers, engagement down from 2.8% to 0.5%, reach falling and 481 gone within two weeks. It also needs your password and disclaims responsibility for bans. Pick one of our five recommended services, where followers are real people who engage.
A flood of bot-like followers that crushed our engagement. Choose Flock Social instead.
