TexAu review: features, pricing and verdict

3.5/5

Our score: 3.5/5

It depends

Short version: TexAu has moved on from LinkedIn automation and is now a lead data platform: it finds, enriches, verifies and scores contacts, then sends them to your CRM or outreach tool. It's a solid list builder, but credit planning takes effort. To run the outreach itself, read our Aimfox review.

What is TexAu?

TexAu describes itself as a go-to-market platform that runs the routine work of prospecting. In this TexAu review we look at the product as it stands today: search for leads, enrich them across many data providers, verify emails, score them and push them on to your CRM.

Older reviews describe TexAu as a LinkedIn and web automation tool with ready-made recipes. The current site barely mentions LinkedIn automation and focuses on enrichment, so expectations shaped by those older articles may not match what you get now.

How TexAu works

TexAu works like a smart spreadsheet. Each row is a lead, and each column can trigger an action, from finding an email to scoring the company or pushing the contact somewhere else.

Step 1: Bring in your leads

Paste a list, upload a file or search for leads. Lead search is priced in the same credits as everything else.

Step 2: Enrich through a waterfall

The waterfall checks up to 12 sources for one credit on the cheaper plans, so you aren't charged once per provider.

Step 3: Verify and score

Emails are verified, and AI lead scoring ranks who to contact first.

Step 4: Push to outreach

Verified leads go to Smartlead, Instantly, lemlist, HeyReach or Apollo sequences, and back into your CRM.

Step 5: Automate the routine

Schedulers rerun searches and enrichment on a timer, and the GTM Co-Pilot can build a workflow from a plain-English request.

Who is TexAu best for?

TexAu now suits outbound teams and small agencies that need clean, enriched lead lists more than they need someone to send the messages. If your outreach already runs in another tool, TexAu can feed it.

Credits are the part to plan carefully. TexAu's own guide says 2,500 credits often cover roughly 450 to 500 enriched leads, depending on how many sources the waterfall checks and whether you verify every email. Start on Solo, watch your real usage for a month, then move up only if you consistently run short. Our editorial policy page explains why we always point readers to the monthly price first.

A good fit if you

  • Want leads found, enriched and pushed to your CRM in one run
  • Already send outreach through Smartlead, Instantly or lemlist
  • Prefer paying only for lookups that return data
  • Like working from a spreadsheet-style table

Skip it if you

  • Want a tool that sends LinkedIn invites and messages for you
  • Need a fixed price with no credit maths
  • Only need a handful of contacts a month
  • Expect the LinkedIn automation TexAu used to be known for

Why use TexAu at all?

Outbound works best when the list is right. TexAu takes a raw list of names or companies and fills in emails, phone numbers and company details from many sources, so fewer messages bounce and more reach the right people.

Its pricing also suits uneven lists. Because only successful matches cost credits, a batch with many dead ends doesn't eat your budget the way a per-row tool would.

TexAu pairs naturally with an outreach tool. Build the list here, send the sequence from a cold email tool, and keep the results synced back to your CRM. Next in our series is the Lusha review, a contact-data tool with a strong LinkedIn extension.

If phone numbers matter more than emails, compare it with Kaspr, which is built around one-click contact data on LinkedIn profiles.

How we reviewed it

To write this TexAu review we read texau.com in full on October 16, 2026, flipping its pricing table to monthly billing so the figures below match what you'd pay month to month, and weighed it against feedback from independent users.

We compared TexAu with the LinkedIn outreach and data tools we cover, looking at what it actually does today, how pricing works and who gets the most from it. Our scoring method explained covers how every tool earns its score out of 5.

What we liked

You pay for results

TexAu only takes credits when a lookup succeeds. Failed searches, duplicates and skipped imports cost nothing, which keeps waste down on messy lists.

One place for list building

Searching, enriching, verifying, scoring and syncing all live in one table, with more than 30 integrations behind it.

Plain-English workflows

The Co-Pilot turns a written request into a working pipeline, which helps people who don't want to build workflows by hand.

What we didn't like

Not a LinkedIn outreach tool any more

TexAu used to be known for LinkedIn automation recipes. Today it presents itself as a data and enrichment platform, so if you came looking for a LinkedIn outreach bot, it no longer fills that role on its own.

Credit maths takes some planning

Everything runs on credits. TexAu's own example says 2,500 credits often cover roughly 450 to 500 enriched leads, so you need to estimate usage before picking a plan.

What we liked

  • Pro: Only successful lookups cost credits
  • Pro: Search, enrich, verify and sync in one table
  • Pro: Plain-English workflow Co-Pilot

What we didn't like

  • Con: No longer a LinkedIn outreach tool
  • Con: Credit planning takes effort

Prices are for monthly billing; yearly billing saves about 17%. Every plan runs on credits, and TexAu says only successful lookups are charged.

Starter and Teams roll unused credits over up to twice the monthly balance. Extra team members cost $99 each a month on those plans.

Is TexAu safe?

Because TexAu now centres on data enrichment and pushes leads to other tools, it carries less direct risk to your LinkedIn profile than a tool that clicks and messages on your behalf. The account-safety question moves to whichever outreach tool you connect.

If you do use any tool to pull data from LinkedIn, read LinkedIn's automation policy first. LinkedIn forbids outside software that harvests data or acts automatically on its pages, so keep that in mind when deciding where your leads come from.

Before you install any browser add-on that touches LinkedIn, check LinkedIn's extension rules so you know what's allowed.

TexAu review: our verdict

TexAu is worth a look if your bottleneck is building clean, enriched lead lists and you already send outreach elsewhere. The pay-on-match model is fair and the table-based workflow is quick to learn. If you want LinkedIn invites and messages handled for you, though, pair it with a dedicated outreach tool or choose one of the LinkedIn automation tools we rate higher.

Does Platypus recommend TexAu?

It depends

A capable lead-data platform for outbound teams, but no longer the LinkedIn automation tool many people remember.

FAQ

What is TexAu?

It's a go-to-market data platform. You import or search for leads, enrich them through a waterfall of data providers, verify emails, score the leads and push them to your CRM or outreach tool.

How much does TexAu cost?

On monthly billing, Solo is $99, Starter $249 and Teams $649 a month. Enterprise is custom. Yearly billing saves about 17%.

Is there a free version of TexAu?

Yes, in a limited way. You start with 50 free credits and no credit card, which is enough to test the workflow on a small list.

Does TexAu still automate LinkedIn?

Not as its main job any more. It now focuses on finding, enriching and scoring leads, then hands them to outreach tools. For LinkedIn outreach itself, a dedicated tool such as Aimfox is the better fit.

How do TexAu credits work?

A credit is one unit of usage. One successful email find costs one credit, and TexAu says failed lookups, duplicates and skipped rows are never charged.

Do unused TexAu credits roll over?

On Starter and Teams, unused credits roll over up to twice your monthly balance. The Solo plan doesn't include rollover.

LinkedIn reviews

I review LinkedIn automation and outreach tools. I care about two things: whether a tool actually gets you replies, and whether it keeps your account safe. If a tool pushes LinkedIn's limits, I'll tell you plainly.
