I assume you’ve been looking into Rocket Social. Their services seem alluring, but do they produce results?
Should you trust your money with this company?

What is Rocket Social?
Rocket Social is an Instagram growth tool that uses “advanced growth strategies” to boost your following. Sounds familiar? This is what almost every other similar service claims.
Is there any truth to it, though? I’ll get to that in a minute.
What struck me the most about their website is how similar it is to Nitreo’s. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.
Nitreo is a reputable service. Perhaps Rocket Social is trying to give off the impression that they are too. However, they achieve the opposite by copying a competitor’s website. Anyone who knows about Nitreo and visits Rocket Social will get suspicious.
OK, so what does the website say?
In broken English, it praises the company and explains how it can benefit you. The service claims it can get you 100% real followers using its smart targeting methods. It also boasts about not using bots and performing all the actions manually.
I have a hard time believing this.

How Does Rocket Social Work?
Rocket Social is great at mystifying what they actually do. They keep repeating how they can get you organic growth and interested followers. But, there’s no mention of the actual methods they use.
The “How It Works” page on their website doesn’t tell you anything significant. It just explains this three-step process:
1. Sign up, choose the pricing plan, and answer a few questions.
2. Wait to get connected by Rocket Social’s team to finish the setup.
3. Target your audience and let the software do its job.
Pretty revealing, huh?

Rocket Social Features
As I mentioned, the service isn’t very transparent about its features. Still, I did manage to find out about the most important ones. You can check them out below.
Targeting Options
The tool allows you to target your audience using several parameters. These include hashtags, location, and targeting similar users. In case you’re unfamiliar with standard targeting features, Rocket Social doesn’t offer much.
Their options aren’t the worst I’ve seen, but they’re far from the best. Don’t get me wrong; you’ll be able to narrow down your audience. But, it won’t be as precise as you’d want it to be.
Does this feature function well?
To an extent, but it sometimes makes catastrophic errors. I read a complaint from a customer who said that Rocket Social followed porn accounts. Such actions might cripple an account’s reputation.
Automatic Engagement
Unlike some growth services, Rocket Social doesn’t sell followers. It instead earns them through engagement. At least that’s what the company claims.
The tool follows/unfollows accounts and likes posts instead of you. It aims to catch the attention of your target audience and make them follow your account. Rocket Social does everything for you, so you don’t have to adjust any settings with this feature.
This is a tried and tested tactic, but there is a problem when you automate it. You see, Instagram doesn’t like automated engagement because it’s not organic. It bans those who use this technology persistently.
Rocket Social claims to do the engagement manually. However, the results of their actions prove otherwise. Many customers say how the service got them action-blocked by Instagram. The platform does this to people who employ bots because it wants to fight spammy activity.
Some users said how the acquired Rocket Social Instagram followers were mostly Indian accounts. This wasn’t what they targeted and was irrelevant for their business.
Customer Support
You can get in touch with the support via a contact form on the website. There is no email or phone available. According to what I’ve read, the customer service isn’t quick to reply. Sometimes, they don’t bother to respond at all.
Currently, the contact form appears to be out of order. I’m not sure whether it’s possible to reach the support right now.
Rocket Social Pricing
The pricing is nicely displayed on the website. Rocket Social offers two subscription packages – Starter and Premium. Both are paid monthly, and you can see what they include below:
I think that the cost is too high. This is especially true when you consider their shady ways.
You can hire a credible company like Nitreo for the same amount of money. It’s ironic because Rocket Social clearly copied their website. Unfortunately, they can’t mimic their service quality too.
Is Rocket Social Legit?
No, I can’t say that it is.
Again, I want to point out that they straight up copied Nitreo’s website. I just can’t get past this. This speaks volumes about Rocket Social’s intentions, and they do not seem to be honest.
On top of that, Rocket Social Instagram reviews on Trustpilot.com aren’t favorable. The majority of customers expressed negative feelings about the company.
Most complained about not receiving the promised services. When they reached out to customer support, they were either ignored or received an unhelpful reply.

Is Rocket Social Safe?
I wouldn’t classify this service as safe.
When it comes to the technical side (SSL certificate, verified payment gateways, etc.), Rocket Social looks good.
Their actions are what causes problems.
Many of their customers say that the service got them action-blocked. Others claimed they couldn’t get a refund when they asked for it.
What concerned me the most were comments from users who were to stop the payments. They stopped using Rocket Social, but the company kept charging them. Eventually, they had to contact their banks to resolve the issue.

Can Rocket Social be trusted?
I’m afraid not.
The company’s actions are not transparent. It appears that they’re not completely honest about what they do. Using Rocket Social might be a waste of money and could get you in trouble.
