Design.com AI logo generator review: features, pricing and verdict

Recommended

Short version: Design.com is an AI logo generator that turns your business name and a short description into thousands of logo ideas in seconds, then lets you edit them as much as you like. Plans start at about $25 a month and include vector files and a basic website. It's our top pick for small businesses that want a professional logo fast. If you need full trademark rights, budget for the Exclusive license.

What is Design.com?

Design.com is an online design platform for small businesses, run by the Australian team behind DesignCrowd and BrandCrowd. Its best-known tool is the AI logo generator, which creates logo ideas from your business name and a few words about what you do.

It launched publicly in July 2024 and has grown into a full brand toolkit. Next to logos you'll find an AI business name generator, a website builder, business cards, social media templates, link in bio pages, email signatures and domain names, all in one account.

If you're weighing it against hiring a designer, our guide to logo design platforms puts Design.com next to nine freelance marketplaces.

Design.com AI logo generator features

Here's what our investigation turned up when we went through every feature on Design.com's own pages. Six of them matter most when you're making a logo.

Thousands of AI logo ideas

Type your business name and a short description, and the AI logo generator returns thousands of ideas in seconds. You can steer the results with new keywords or AI chat prompts, and tap the heart icon to shortlist the ones you like.

An editor with no edit limits

Every logo opens in an editor where you can change colours, fonts, layout and spacing, and add shapes, curved text and gradients. Edits are unlimited, before and after you buy, and the editor works on desktop and mobile.

Mockups before you pay

You can preview your logo on clothing and signage. That makes it easier to spot a design that looks great on screen but gets lost on a shirt or a shop sign.

A brand kit around the logo

Once your logo is done, Design.com carries it onto business cards, a digital business card, letterheads, email signatures, social media templates and a website. It lists more than 1.7 million matching templates, so your brand looks the same everywhere.

Every file format you need

Paid plans include high-resolution and vector files in EPS, SVG, PDF, PNG and JPG, with a transparent background option for PNG, SVG, EPS and PDF. Animated logos also come as MP4 and GIF files.

Help around the clock

Support runs 24/7 by chat and email, and Trustpilot reviewers often mention quick, helpful replies.

If you still need a name, the AI business name generator sits in the same account. For more tools like this one, browse our AI tools hub.

What users say about Design.com

Design.com has a TrustScore of 4.7 out of 5, rated Excellent, from 4,622 reviews on Trustpilot, checked on October 30, 2026. That's a strong score from a large number of customers.

The praise follows clear themes. Reviewers say the site is easy to find your way around, the ready-made designs are good, and support answers fast, often within minutes.

The complaints are about billing rather than the logos. Some users say a trial or low-cost purchase rolled into a full subscription, and a few say refunds were refused. We cover how to avoid both in the safety section below.

How Design.com works

Making a logo with the AI logo generator takes a few minutes, and you can try it for free before you pay anything.

Step 1: Describe your business

Enter your business name and a short description of what you do. The more specific you are, the closer the first ideas land.

Step 2: Browse the AI ideas

The generator creates thousands of logo ideas in seconds. Change your keywords or use the AI chat prompts to push the results in a new direction.

Step 3: Shortlist and edit

Heart the logos you like, then open one in the editor to change its colours, fonts, layout and spacing.

Step 4: Preview it in use

Check the logo on mockups such as shirts and signs before you commit to it.

Step 5: Pick a plan and download

Logos made with the AI tools can only be downloaded on a paid plan. Choose a package and the high-res and vector files are ready straight away.

Who is Design.com best for?

Design.com suits small business owners, side hustlers and new brands who want a professional logo today, plus the cards, templates and website to go with it. If you need a one-of-a-kind mark you can trademark, plan for the Exclusive license or a custom designer.

A good fit if you

  • Need a logo in minutes, not weeks
  • Want vector files without hiring a designer
  • Plan to make business cards, social posts and a site too
  • Like to try ideas and edit them yourself

Skip it if you

  • Want to pay once with no subscription
  • Need a trademarkable logo without paying extra
  • Want a designer to build the concept with you
  • Need to download the font files

Why use Design.com at all?

The main reason is speed without giving up quality. A freelance logo usually takes a week or two with revisions, while Design.com gives you thousands of starting points in seconds and lets you shape one yourself.

Value is the second reason. Even the Starter plan includes vector files, unlimited edits and a basic website builder, which would cost far more bought separately.

It also keeps your brand consistent. The same logo flows into templates for business cards, social posts and email signatures, so you're not rebuilding your look in five different apps. Our roundup of content creation tools covers what to use next for posts and Reels.

Prefer a person to design it? Design.com's sister site DesignCrowd runs logo contests where designers send you 25 to 100+ concepts to choose from.

How we reviewed it

Our Design.com review is research-based. We went through the AI logo generator page and Design.com's purchasing, download, license and refund FAQs, all checked on October 30, 2026, plus the 4,622 customer reviews on Trustpilot.

We compared what you get for the price with hiring a freelance designer and with the other platforms in our logo guide, then scored it using our scoring approach.

What we liked

Fast, usable ideas

Thousands of AI logo ideas in seconds means you're editing a good design within minutes, instead of briefing a designer and waiting days.

Generous files

Vector files in EPS, SVG and PDF, plus PNG and JPG, come with every package, so your logo works on a website, a sign and a printed card.

Strong reputation

A 4.7 TrustScore from more than 4,600 Trustpilot reviews is a strong result, and fast support comes up again and again in what customers write.

What we didn't like

Subscription only

There's no one-off logo purchase: packages are monthly or yearly. If you only want the logo, cancel within the first month. Design.com says you pay for one month and keep the logo license.

Exclusive rights cost extra

The Standard license is non-exclusive, and Design.com says it can't guarantee you can trademark the logo. Full rights need the Exclusive license, from $145 one-time.

What we liked

  • Pro: Thousands of AI logo ideas in seconds
  • Pro: Vector files and unlimited edits
  • Pro: 4.7 on Trustpilot from 4,600+ reviews

Design.com pricing

Design.com plans
PlanPriceWhat you get
StarterAbout $25/monthLogo pack with high-res and vector files, unlimited edits, 50+ design tools, templates and a basic website builder
ValueAbout $34/monthEverything in Starter, plus a full website

Design.com lists these as typical monthly prices. Yearly billing is cheaper, but yearly prices only show at checkout. A Premium package adds link in bio and a digital business card; its price wasn't clearly listed when we checked.

Two optional license upgrades are sold per logo. Exclusive costs $15 a month, $60 a year or $145 one-time and gives you full rights to the design. Buyout costs $12 a month, $36 a year or $100 one-time and takes the logo off sale, but it stays non-exclusive. Printing costs extra.

Prices checked October 30, 2026.

Is Design.com safe?

Yes, Design.com is a legitimate company. It's run by DesignCrowd, an Australian design business backed by investors including Airtree Ventures, and it has a 4.7 score from 4,622 reviews on Trustpilot. Every AI logo goes through a manual IP review and comes with a license for worldwide commercial use.

The risks are about money and rights, not your data. Digital files aren't refundable because you get them straight away, and a subscription renewal is refunded in full only if you ask within 7 days. Read the purchasing FAQ before you buy, and set a reminder before your plan renews.

If you plan to trademark your logo, check the license options first. Design.com advises against trademarking a logo without the Exclusive license.

Before you check out, choose monthly or yearly billing on purpose, note the renewal date, and add the Exclusive license if you'll need to trademark the logo.

Design.com review: our verdict

Case closed: Design.com earns 5 out of 5. Its AI logo generator gets you from a business name to a polished, editable logo in minutes, the files cover every use, and the brand kit keeps everything matching. Keep an eye on the subscription and add the Exclusive license if you'll trademark, and it's an easy yes for anyone who needs a professional logo without a designer's budget.
