What Is Dux-Soup?
Simply put, Dux-Soup is a company that provides LinkedIn automation. Founded in 2015, you could say this firm holds veteran status.
In all these years in business, they created a substantial user base, for which I applaud them.
If you visit their official website dux-soup.com, you can see how bold some of their claims are.
For instance, they pride themselves on being the #1 trusted tool for LinkedIn automation.
They promise to help you by relieving you of the burden that is finding qualified leads.
How It Works
The process is relatively simple. The tool automatically engages with the prospects you choose on LinkedIn. It also endorses their skills, sends them connection requests as well as multiple personalized messages.
The tool – supposedly – does all this on your behalf from your browser while you have full access to all the activities on your LinkedIn profile.
This description is their version of how it all works. Now, let’s see if there’s any merit to it.
Getting Started With Dux-Soup
To use this automation tool, you have to go to their website and click on the Get Started button. From there, the site will take you to the page with all the pricing plans. There’s also a free version, about which I’ll tell you more in a few moments.
After that, you can click on the Get Started button again, and it’ll redirect you to the Chrome web store, where you can install the extension.
Truth be told, I’m not the biggest fan of Chrome extensions of this type, as you never know whether they compromise your sensitive data or not.
For this reason, I chose not to install it. I did, however, try to sign up for the service. This is how the process looks:
As you can see, they immediately request you to sign up with your Google account. They didn’t offer me any other choice.
Dux-Soup Prices and Packages
Let’s take a quick look at the plans Dux-Soup offers to its customers.

I think you’ll agree these prices are not the most budget-friendly, but they’re not in the top price range either.
The good thing is that they have a free trial, so you can test the waters, but it doesn’t say how long it lasts.
What Customers Think Of Dux-Soup
Time to dig into the controversial part of each review – the painfully honest reviews from previous customers.
After realizing Dux-Soup doesn’t have a page on Trustpilot, my most trusted source of customer reviews, I started looking elsewhere.
The first site I stumbled upon is g2.
Here’s a glimpse of what a few people claim happened to their LinkedIn account:
It seems people are getting banned from LinkedIn for using this Chrome Extension.
The review site g2.com also allows users to leave video reviews, which I think is an excellent option as they appear more believable. One video review talks about how this tool actually worked pretty well until LinkedIn banned it.
So, the big question is – Is Dux-Soup banned by LinkedIn?
While researching Dux-Soup, I also found an article on LinkedIn’s official website where they warn about using Dux-Soup. And yes, they call their name explicitly.
This was reason enough for me to not continue with the signup process I initially started.
Full disclosure – Dux-Soup seems to have satisfied customers too. Many online reviews have only words of praise for this company, but to tell you the truth, most of these reviews seem generic and borderline fake.
Is Dux-Soup Legit & Safe?
It’s not easy answering this question as the situation is not all black and white.
On one side, Dux-Soup is a legitimate company with an HTTPS website and secure payment options. I haven’t found any complaints about Dux-Soup stealing money from their clients or similar.
On the other side, the tool reportedly gets people banned from LinkedIn, which means it’s not safe to use.
Plus, I don’t like the fact you have to install a Chrome Extension to use it, but that’s just my opinion.
I have to say, though, that some clients have complained about this too. They say they were reluctant to install the extension, and once they gave in and did it, they didn’t like using it very much (to quote one customer: “It slows down your browser and the UI sucks”).
Customer support seems to be another common complaint.
Dealing with customers is apparently not their strongest suit. The company’s customer service often takes a long time to respond, or they completely ignore your messages. This is always a huge letdown for me.

Dux-Soup Review – Final Verdict
Dux-Soup is one of those companies that perhaps worked well at one point until they didn’t.
Had they managed to stay below LinkedIn’s radar, I’d consider trying it out. Since that’s not the case, I can’t in good conscience recommend this tool to anyone for one simple reason: it’s not 100% safe.
So, my honest advice is to forget about it and turn your focus on companies that you can trust completely, like the ones I mentioned in the beginning.
