SEO tool reviews
SEO tools promise more traffic from Google. We're putting them to the test the same way we test everything: we pay for a plan, run it on real websites, and write down what actually happened.
Our first SEO reviews are on the way
We're testing our first SEO tools on real websites right now. Each review goes up here as soon as its test is done, with a score out of 5.

How we test SEO tools
Every tool in this category is judged on the same four things.
Data you can trust. We check keyword volumes, rankings and backlinks against Google Search Console and other sources we control.
Useful site audits. Does the audit find real problems on our test sites, and does fixing them actually help?
Ease of use. How long it takes to set up, and whether a small business owner can understand the reports.
Value for money. What each plan includes, what it really costs, and how it compares with cheaper or free options.
Questions about SEO tools
What do SEO tools actually do?
They help you see how your website shows up on Google. Most help you find keywords people search for, check which pages rank, spot technical problems on your site, and see which other sites link to you.
Do I need a paid SEO tool?
Not always. Google Search Console is free and shows how your site performs in Google search. Paid tools add keyword research, competitor data and site audits, which matter more as your site grows.
How will you test SEO tools?
The same way we test every tool. We pay for a plan, use it on real websites for at least 30 days, compare its data with what we can check ourselves, and score it out of 5.
Can I suggest an SEO tool for you to test?
Yes, please do. Use our suggest a tool form and tell us why you want it tested.
