To start off, let’s differentiate between the three.

Residential proxies are arguably the best option because the IPs originate from real users connected to Internet Service Providers.

That minimizes the chance that you’ll get blacklisted by a website.

I suggest using residential proxies for the majority of things, including:

• Web scraping
• SERP analysis
• SEO research
• Price comparison
• Affiliate link checking
• Social media automation

On the other hand, classic datacenter proxies come from third-party data centers. So, they aren’t recommended for any advanced use cases because they are easily detectable.

You should use them for:

• Anonymity when browsing
• Cyber protection

Lastly, Red Dirt ISP datacenter proxies are a mix of both. They are datacenter IPs but supported by an ISP.

Red Dirt Proxies claims that their ISP DC proxies are optimized for sneaker copping.

They should work (although it is not guaranteed, and they’ll warn you about this) on all the major sneaker websites:

• Shopify
• Yeezy

• Nike Snkrs
• Footsites (these are turned off by default until there’s a drop)

Red Dirt also warns you that these IPs will be banned if you make too many requests with the same proxy.

So, albeit ISP datacenter proxies are generally faster than residential proxies (and cheaper), IMO, they can’t beat them.

How Red Dirt Proxies Works

To start with Red Dirt Proxies, you should open the side menu at the top left corner, and hit “Create account,” fill in some basic data, and verify that you are not a robot.

After you purchase the plan(s) that you wish, you’ll need to perform username:password authentication as Red Dirt Proxies doesn’t allow for IP whitelisting.

When you generate the proxies, you can use their Tester to see how well they perform.

The tool has to be downloaded on your PC in order to work.

That said, you’ll get a warning like this:

Proxy Pool

Unlike most proxy providers, Red Dirt Proxies does not specify the size of its proxy pool.

This is a bit shady, if you ask me. There’s no reason to hide this piece of information until their proxy pool is narrower than you would expect with the three kinds of proxies they offer.

Locations

Location distribution of their IPs is another thing that remains secretive to a point.

They don’t tell where their residential proxies originate from.

And for datacenter ones, there are only three available locations in two countries:

• New York
• Virginia
• London

This is simply not on par with some other proxy providers that offer advanced targeting. For instance, Proxyland offers over 100 countries.

Rotating & Sticky IPs

You can get both sticky and rotating proxy sessions from Red Dirt Proxies.

Sticky or static IPs are better for sneaker copping (which is their primary use case), whereas rotating ones are better for online marketing.

Customer Support

Unfortunately, Red Dirt Proxies does not offer live chat support on their website, but you can reach them on Discord.

Optimal Speed & Uptime

At 10GBPS and 99% uptime, speed and reliability are probably Red Dirt Proxies’ best features.

Bandwidth

Depending on the type of proxies that you get, this feature varies.

With datacenter proxies, bandwidth is unlimited (they charge you per proxy, not per bandwidth).

With residential proxies, you’ll get the bandwidth that you purchase. It’s a good thing that it doesn’t expire until you use it up, but the price tag is quite high.

Red Dirt Proxies has a very diverse offer and a lot of tariff packages.

Their datacenter proxies are location-based, and the prices vary. Usually, IPs coming from London are more expensive than the US ones.

Both the classic and ISP DC proxies often go out of stock, which is a signal that Red Dirt Proxies probably releases them with major sneaker drops.

All things considered, the datacenter price is rather high.

But what shocked me, even more, is the price of GB in their residential package: 

19 dollars per GB is synonymous with paying through the nose.
