Growing a huge following and establishing your presence on a platform like Instagram may sound like a challenging task, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be.

When you find a trustworthy Instagram growth service, it can be a piece of cake. Well, maybe not that easy, but it’s certainly achievable.

In today’s article, I’ll tell you all about one Instagram tool – Fanbump.

Is Fanbump one of those trustworthy services?

Or is it a complete waste of time and money?

I’ll discuss all this and more in my Fanbump review, so make sure to stay with me until the end.

Let’s jump in!

What Is Fanbump?

A screenshot of Fanbump's website

To kick things off, I have to note that Fanbump is actually shut down.

Fanbump didn’t give an exact reason for going under, all they said is that it was due to recent Instagram changes.

It was a typical Instagram growth service. They claimed they boosted your account organically with real, active followers.

On their website, they proudly stated that their clients had been featured in some major publications, including Forbes, Variety, Fortune, Entrepreneur, etc.

Actually, when you visit their site, you can’t really tell they’ve been shut down until you go to the pricing section or click the Get Started button.

There you’ll find a disclamation where they advise against using any Instagram growth services ‘for safety reasons’.

How Does Fanbump Work?

According to Fanbump, their strategy is customized, organic, effective, and safe for clients from all around the world.

They even claim they never had an account get removed.

Oh, the irony.

Mind you, this is still all there on their website for anyone to see.

While Fanbump still worked, you’d begin by describing your target audience and adjusting the filter so that your account manager (a supposedly real person who’d help you throughout the entire process) could build a customized list of accounts with interests similar to yours.

Fanbump says that this strategy brought an average of 150 – 1000 real followers to their clients per month.

Upon signing up, you also had the option to get an estimated growth potential based on the quality of your content and your niche.

Fanbump loved to throw numbers on their website.

So they said 88.5% of their clients continue with their service every month. And why?

Well, because ‘they only get you real followers, they put safety first, their head of growth is one of the industry’s best, and they’re real humans’.

Except, not really.

An Instagram growth service that claims to have such credentials, and really has them, would never end up shut down.

It was just too good to be true.

Fanbump Features

Professional Growth package

The Professional Growth package was available to anyone. It included organic growth at basic speed.

Fanbump actually didn’t have an auto-follow, auto-like, and auto-comment features like similar tools – they only got the attention of other accounts, and it was on those accounts to follow you.

That being said, their statistics about clients gaining less than 1000 followers per month are not surprising.

Don’t get me wrong, this is a good number providing that all of those followers are real, quality followers from your niche.

However, in their terms of service (which I perused, by the way), Fanbump admits they can’t protect you from spam or fake followers, i.e. bots.

Many of the users’ reviews said that Fanbump attracted bots among real followers.

This means that, while they did get you some authentic followers, there were bots every now and then (more often than you want).

Extreme Growth package

The premium package or the Extreme Growth package was very exclusive, and it cost fifteen times as the Professional one did.

Yes, you read it right.

For a couple of thousand bucks, you could get the premium package that was available only to the selected few.

You actually had to request access and wait to be approved.

This was their ‘high-end plan for extreme goals’.

What did it offer?

You got a personal, elite Instagram team (again, supposedly consisting of real people) that could organically grow your account by 25000 real followers per month.

Fanbump offered a free consultation to see if you are even worth applying for the exclusive package.

And one more thing – you pay for these packages on a monthly basis.

Fanbump Pricing

Okay, let’s get to the exact numbers at hand.

The Professional Growth package:

fanbump review - pricing

As you can see, for $99 a month, you get a customized strategy that reaches your target audience who will, hopefully, want to follow you.

Again, there’s the promise of no fake/bot accounts and the safety-first notion.

You also get a personal account manager and a weekly growth report.

As for the Extreme Growth package, it doesn’t have a fixed price. Instead, it has a little plus next to the sky-high price:

For $1500+ a month, you get an elite team that will, supposedly, bring you a huge following.

Don’t forget that these are all monthly prices, and for one account only.

Is Fanbump Legit?

Since they had to be shut down, it’s fair to say that Fairbump perhaps wasn’t completely legit nor safe.

If the sole reason for getting shut down were too high prices (which I could understand), then maybe I could say they were a legit business, only too expensive to survive.

On the other hand, if they didn’t comply with Instagram’s rules, then I seriously have to question how legit they actually were.

Is Fanbump Safe?

It depends.

When it comes to sensitive info, you could trust Fanbump. They didn’t ask for your password, phone number, or similar data, they had a secure website (they actually still have it), and the payment options were completely secure – at least according to Trustpilot reviews.

However, I can’t stand by the safety of using Fanbump if their actions in any way got even a single account suspended or banned. (E.g due to bots).

Fanbump Review: PROS and CONS

PROSCONS
Very easy to use.The service had to be shut down.
It didn’t require your personal information. They were one of the most expensive services in the industry.
They attracted bots to your account.
They made unrealistic promises that couldn’t be kept.
Your account was in danger of getting suspended.

Final Verdict

Was Fanbump really worth it?

To be honest, yes and no.

On the one hand, they had a clever strategy that could really bring you a huge following over time, so it’d seem more natural.

On the other hand, they didn’t manage to deliver what they promised. Plus, they weren’t exactly budget-friendly, to say the least.

This is why I always recommend doing thorough research before you spend any kind of money on an Instagram growth service.

There are too many shady companies making it all too risky for you. Luckily, there are also numerous trustworthy tools that are way more budget-friendly and actually follow the rules.

So choose wisely, make an informed decision, and witness your Insta account reach for the stars.
